So basically it gives you "LAN" access over the internet? If this is any good I'm putting this on my uni computer. I always need files off it, but I always forget to put them into dropbox.
At the moment I VNC in and do it that way, but this could be interesting.

It seems it also has basic control allowing it to run programs etc.

Agreed, sounds smart - I'm guessing that no extra configuration of routers will be necessary too :)

Seems to be imap only though could be used to send emails with attachments to a gmail account etc?
