Title: Adaptec Sata Raid Controller 1430SA - Windows 7
Post by: TeaLeaf on January 08, 2010, 12:14:06 PM
I have an Adaptec 1430SA raid controller running Raid10 in my main PC and I am looking to upgrade from my current 32-bit XP Pro SP3 to 64-bit Windows 7, but I have found that there does not seem to be much support for Adaptec SATA raid controllers under Windows 7 which surprised me.

Has anyone else come across this problem or am I just unlucky with the card I have?  Also, if I have to change cards what should I be looking at for the future?  My own thoughts were to continue running at least Raid 0 for the time being and it would be nice to have the additional ports for future upgrades (like when the existing 4-drive raid10 gets swapped out for SSDs instead of SATA drives).
