As the title says.
Many of us are being kicked every few minutes with driver related error messages. a couple of us have updated PB with no joy.
T-Bag reports
Quote22:29 - -=[dMw]=-T-Bag: I had to go into the iwmp.exe direct rather than through steam
22:29 - -=[dMw]=-T-Bag: otherwise I got kicked
I didn't get kicked after switching to this method.
However it was enough to all but kill the game that was going on. Not sure what had happened to cause it. I got a micro-update to the game when joining, i suspect something has been tweaked. No word on the steam forums when I checked.
When that kept happening to me a reboot solved it every time.

We did a server reboot, but it didn't stop people getting kicked:sad:
there was a steam update today, which poped up on my screen when i left the game, I have not updated my steam and yet I was not kicked once, might be to do with overlays or direct connection:
"Added password support to steam://connect command for connecting to game servers. The proper syntax is: steam://connect/[IP*ort]/[password]"
&
"Fix for the overlay sometimes not detecting input messages in games with different focus and active hwnds"
might be completely unrelated :doh:
Edit: PBBans have had a few posts as of today, fingers are pointing to steam (overlays, but may also point to x-fire), running the game out of steam seems to work, worth a go?

Sounds very related. I did a search for the error message 125120 and there are people saying they had to turn of frame rate monitoring software or anything with an overlay because punkbuster doesn't like it. Hopefully it's a case of a restart of steam solves the problem.
Running without steam is a pain.
I get alot of messages in game and it is a useful admin tool and invite method.
I realise I could do that by alt/tab, but that is a pain
:sad:
Just got PB'd from RIP server, so it aint just us:sideways:
Ooh, new Steam update again today.
Guess what for......
Improved overlay compatibility from launcher applications

Hopefully thats fixed it, A post from PBBans says:
It's seems that my problem is resolved. Evenbalance answer to me (trought ticket):
"In case you run
Steam, please do the following:
* Open Steam
* Go to File-Settings
* Go to the tab in-game
* Uncheck the "Enable Steam Community In-Game" checkbox
* Press OK
* Restart Steam"
Steam update has cheked automatically the Enable Steam Community In-Game checkbox, not compatible with Pb
In case this happens again :rolleyes:
Didn't solve jack, I got my first PB problems today (ever), got kicked several times, until Blunt told me to disable steam overlay :(
I didn't actually get my 2nd update from steam :g:
Is there anything mentioned on the steam forums?
My steam just updated and it said it had fixed the bug. But the again, thats what it said last update as well a few days ago. But I hope it has now.
