after extensive testing on blackadder (even doing a seperate fresh CS server isntall) it seems we certainly have valve/steam to blame for our server outage.

This error has been seen on old and steam freshened installs of CS 1.6.... weird eh?

I can't connect to either MH or Baldric but I can connect to BlueBalls server every time. Does that mean Scotland has been renamed Korea or they have had a rush of Asylum seekers. I am a bit loath to uninstall/reinstall if I'm just not connecting to dMw servers. Going off to do some more checking.

It's not only dMw most of the servers are not connecting. I've lost patience and uninstalled the "TANGOING" lot and won't reinstall for some time. That's how I feel. I'll go and play 1.5 with the bots.

This is one way to get Steam up and running.

1. Go to the Steam dir and locate this file: ClientRegistry.blob

2. Delete it!

3. Start Steam. It should update the platform quickly.

4. Log in. Play. Enjoy!
