Okay, last night ICC 25, brilliant run and was good, then as some will have noticed saurfangs blood went up like a rocket!!!
i believe i know why.....consecrate....
during all the fighting there was 2 consecrates up constantly and during the second wave onwards it cause onyl slight problems, however during the first wave the adds instantly went for melee due to concecrate giving him a large blood boost, it also caused mobs in later waves to attack melee if only briefly.
what you think? (claiire noticed this also)

And it is something that aint a problem. Pally's can use it all the time maybe watch out not to drop it exactly when they spawn but for the rest we stay using it as it doesn't give a problem with the beasts.
It's usually a stray , swipe, glyphed mangle, HotR or consecration that pulls them in. The logs will show what damage was on them so it is easy to check.

This link has the list of people that had agro of beasts and got hit, check under damage by actor. Jas is high, which is when he was in the group no doubt. Other targets i would not know.
it was mainly fannying around with new tactics that caused the wipes.
Until we have better dps we can't beat him down faster than he gains blood especially when u have 2 marks up. Remember every kill we have made has been seconds away from enrage. Which I understand why not getting that 10% health is so attractive.
By sacrificing the first 2 we may have another 10% to kill but we effectively return him to regular blood gain each time. Giving us the benefit of having him closer to death when we are keeping the marks alive.
Then its just a case of luck on who gets marked 3rd and keeping them up. Order is something like;
>Tank (Will be getting heals so possibly the best choice for a mark)
>Plate Dps (The physical damage against plate is very manageable)
>Other dps (The pewpewcrew are the ones that require healers to be most alert losing another to a mark means 5% more health to burn and 1 less dps not good)
>Healer (The least best for receiving a mark & living imo as they basically might go stand in a corner and heal themselves. They will no longer contribute apart from stopping him gaining 5%)

the fact that his blood went up so fast last night cannot be put down just to the fact that Consecrate was up. also was the fact the ranged dps was not moving as much and was being hit by the beasts. I know as i am guilty of letting a couple get to close to me. so that was my mistake and not one i am intending on repeating. But it also need to be beared in mind that we were trying a new tactic last night with keeping the marks alive. He gains extra blood for every mark he has up.
also on a side note the whole encounter was doomed from the start anyway. i mean Izzen getting one shotted and then him despawning and a Heroism Cd being wasted. Again my fault on that one:norty:, because that first attempted was bugged it might have bugged the rest of the attempts, because if you all remember even when we went back to our normal tactic of gnome sacrfice..i mean letting the marks die. He was still gaining blood at a very alarming rate.
just my thoughts on it. but its a valid point that the whole evening cannot be put down to two pallys doing consecrate. So lets just knock this one on the head as a fairly good run. few people got upgrades that they needed. and we all should also take away what not to do and next time not repeat the same mistakes.:boxing:

Dave
The 90% less AoE dmg makes a pally's (especially a ret's) consecrate pretty much not the cause of this. 1 or 2 hits may go in but nothing that will rocket up the blood bar. Like TL said I'd look at melee/tanks. Something like Cleave, Divine Storm, or especially a HotR or Swipe/Maul from a tank can mean the add will be attacking the tank instantly, and due to threat boost might be hard to get it back off as well.
What helps I find is to have your melee pallies try and stun one every once in a while. Helps to ease pressure on the ranged dps to kill the add.

Not entirely sure but I think the mark only gets put on ranged? Or at least not on tanks.
You missed the magic fish be honest for once....
I had a look this morning at where the beast hits went ... Its seems that thru all the pulls we got the odd beast hitting somone most people getiing 4/5 in a night which should be less but its no biggi.. We did have the odd few with major stackage (23 on a ranged player for example)
Now what we are not doing is pointing fingers. Tho we do need to find whats going on or we cant fix it for next time :D
Another point is the fights are still new for some ... the way we do it is still not 100% and all the kills so far have been very very close to the wire

:roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:fine my hands up it was the magic fish!:roflmao::roflmao:
tbh it can be looked at very easy, first we tried new tactic ppl got fed up and we reverses it to old tactic. first fight with old tactic we got him to abou 4 % or less, after that we only had one try, so we were actually doing fine the reason for change is cuz ppl have bin talking about it on forum and yes change means wipe fact of wow. Second we were missing knockback effect we had only one which also worked fine with frost trap, but when i got first mark it was tits up. 3 we had new ppl with us last night which will make it a bit harder, but even though some new were there we had killed him if it had not bin for some dps died at same time. So some times there are no explenation but the one right in front of you but no one see the tree cuz the forest is full of them, i personally dont think we have a problem with this boss at all.
from wha ti understand tanks within his top 2 agro spots dont aquire the marks, he usually seems to either stick it on us melee (pitty us) or ranged from what ive seen
Dunno if that is in 25 man the way but in 10 man the tanks can also get a mark, as it happend a few times and it maked the fight more easy for the healers aswell if a tank gets it.
