Title: Stagg Chili
Post by: OldBloke on February 03, 2010, 09:14:39 AM
I saw a can of Stagg chili in Tesco labelled 'Dynamite Hot' and thought I'd give it a go.

YE GODS!

Tasty as hell but bugger that's hot.

Oh and I'm working from home today after an 'interesting' night.

You really do *not* want to know ... trust me.

I will say that, as much as I kinda enjoyed the painful pleasure of eating it, in my experience the cons far outweigh the pros.

Not being a great one for hot foods, I'll offer a note for their Silverado Chili. It's quite tasty.

Is it properly hot? We need some kind of benchmark? Is your Indian of choice a Korma?

I like the normal stagg chilli's, not too hot, but never tried 'Dynamite Hot', although have seen them and have been tempted, pretty glad I didn't! :D

Whats next on OB's test menu?

Here's a clue. I went for a pee about an hour after eating it and that made my eyes water I can tell you.

Anyway, all sparrows appear to have left the departure lounge so looking forward to 'business' as usual :lmfao:

Dynamite hot Stagg Chilli is pretty hot, I reckon.  Has serious digestive repercussions.  I haven't had it for a few years but the last time I did (washed down with a couple of beers) I got a verbal warning at work the next day for the noxious after-effects.

Still love it though, must get some more.

The stagg chili range are really good and should have rice and garlic bread with it. Very yummy... The dynamite hot version is hot but not to bad in my opinion and actually makes it taste better. Bit then as curry I do like a good madras.
