Title: Small DKP award
Post by: vladic on February 08, 2010, 09:56:14 PM
i know in set raids (25man ICC ETC) that we get DKP every 30min or so, and that we get it for being there at the start and at the end.

i would like to suggest a small DKP award for attending 10mans (from start to finish excluding extreme circumstance or power failure etc) like 3 when you arrive and 3 when you leave, this would help for those who cant attend every raid (as we do all gotta earn our bread at work or college):ranting2:

what you think? i mean obviously we would have to refine some rules or summat like for what the exceptions could be (such as i get emergency calls from my sister on some nights requesting pick up so that would be unavoidable or losing the power to your nabourhood)

just my thoughts

Like with the 10 man runs from yesterday everyone got his/her dkp points at the start for the whole night free.

That while during the runs itself we used the /roll for loot.

official 10 man runs, ie on a night that is scheduled in a locked raid as far as i know will be awarded and used DKP, if it is an off night in an unlocked instance then it is not an official guild run and will not use dkp.

on the odd occasion when a guild night run is using a non lockout instance there will still be no DKP used as there is no table set up for that instance.

this is my understanding of the way that it works.... it may be wrong as i have had a bit of a break and am only now coming back

We do award DKP for the 10 man runs but we do not use it to bid for items.  We normally just roll for them.

I had a few people mention different bits and bobs regarding dkp systems tweeks ect. The thing is I hate dkp but it is a needed evil. So what we have gone for is the easy option .. time based and bids
Somone has to admin it at the end of the day and thats time spent pushing numbers around and not running the raid or killing mobs
