Title: Budget 17+" laptop?
Post by: suicidal_monkey on February 19, 2010, 07:41:33 PM
My dad is after a large screened laptop, mainly basic stuff, possibly occasional cad work but i suspect not often, preferably with ms office option, target sub-400 quid. I'd be grateful for amy suggestions!
Cheers!

Found this one for Ã,£350 from laptopsdirect (http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/GRADE_A2_-_Hewlett_Packard_Pavilion_G70-110EA_Laptop_A2-FX432EA/version.asp)

Great spec for the price, and from a descent brand. Other laptops with this spec are almost Ã,£100 more.

Or for another Ã,£50 you can get the following spec from dell.

IntelÃ,® PentiumÃ,® Dual-Core Processor T4400 (2.2GHz, 800MHz, 1MB cache)
Genuine WindowsÃ,® 7 Home Premium 64bit- English
17.3" WLED High Definition + (1600 x 900) TFT Display with TrueLifeâ„¢
Intel Integrated GMA 4500MHD
3072MB 800MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [1x2048 + 1x1024]
250GB (5,400rpm) Serial ATA Hard Drive
DVD +/- RW Drive (read/write CD & DVD) with DVD Burn software

Here (http://www1.euro.dell.com/uk/en/home/Laptops/laptop-inspiron-17/pd.aspx?refid=laptop-inspiron-17&s=dhs&cs=ukdhs1&~oid=uk~en~20211~laptop-inspiron-1750_n0075002~~)

And make sure you use either topcashback.com or quido.com as you could get 3-5% back!
