Gents,
I've torn cipher apart and put it back together with glue and horse hair. It now has respawns. Ugly respawns and there are some trade offs, but it works.
If you hit respawn at base you'll come back to life where you stand, which I could fix, but as the start base is random it means that you'll spawn in the middle of nowhere if I change it.
best thing to do is show some self restraint and wait for your comrades to heal you.
If you press the respawn button before your mates have cleared the area you will most likely just be shot again.
The AI have a nasty habit of sticking with a wounded person, maybe they like to keep checking if they're dead or not?
I never got to try this out, as I never died or got incapacitated. :narnar:
I think the reason the level didn't end was because Tut said he spawned with a bot and the chopper wouldn't take off until that bot got there.
I think he was probably thumbing a lift on the other side of the map.
Pity it didn't like me killing the pilot to take off and win.

Twice now I've had the misfortune of joining after the mission is started, which means there's pretty much no chance of getting a game of Arma before everyone buggers off at 10 :(
So how about we say 'mission starts at 8:30'. Until that point we play the classics.....ammo harbour :)
Last night it wouldn't let us open the suitcase, so we were trapped.

if we say then that on misison nights (tues, sun) that the main mission will commence at 8.30
that should leave plenty of time for people to get online for it
and just to note that the respawns worked fine m8 :thumbsup2: good job
