Are we serious about those advertisement messages on the server..

letters the size of house in the middle of the screen? and the best part they are blinking?

Could do something a little less distracting I must admit, maybe theres a setting to change the font size and position? :)

I'm really against these too. I don't think it should be done until we can get something that is less interruptive ingame.

Maybe at the very end of the level it's acceptable, but not during.

I am not keen on them either.  At the moment though there is no other option.  It is triggering the same action as it does when the end of the round is near.  Hopefully as the admin tool matures we will be able to do something else.  We can choose to message just one player though.  So asking someone to join a squad or warn about tk'ing or being an idiot it is just them that would see it.

We donââ,¬â,,¢t have the ability to automatically run the messages at the moment so they have to be done manually.

The admin tool is much more limited than the old BF2CC tool mainly due to the fact there is daemon installed server side so we are only using the basic rcon that is available in the game.  This may change if dice introduce modding tools.

Hopefully we will be able to get the messages in the top corner in the future.  We do need to ask people to join squads.  Anyone with dMw. Tags on can type that in game.
