Title: dMw Contacts page
Post by: GhostMjr on February 25, 2010, 10:19:01 PM
I don't mind working on, dmw contacts so who each of us are and who to contact when you have any problems can also do a small bio for each as i practically know everybody face to face.

Also i can do the battlefield bad company 2 guidelines but they may be a bit vague as we don't know precisely what the game will be like until release day.

Lastly do we want to pursue the videos who we are and personal interviews with admins?

I think a welcome to the community from yourself TL and OB inside a video would be great in the downloads section. We are a personal community and we all know everyone face to face. Its also a great way to show that we care about new people and that we are all approachable. Section admins could jump in with their own videos too. If you feel this is something we want to do we can shoot the videos in a couple of hours max at the lan providing we get the scripts ready before hand.

Before we start creating new content I'd like to tidy up what we haver if that's ok.  Fine ideas, but let's finish off the existing first then we can ge tto know from the design folks which holes they have created for us to plug!  Feel free to volunteer for an existing one if you want.

I like the idea of a contact page.

Each section should show everyone that plays the game. Could be linked by badges, that way learner, green and admin badges can be listed to let people taking up the game know who to ask for games.

Each green badged player could also fill in a calendar of when they are most likely to play. The system could fall apart quickly, but would be nice if it worked.

The idea of the contact page is good. It's kinda what I had in mind when I created this thread (http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?p=285546#post285546) so that people could see and contact everyone in each grouping. It could be used as a base and expanded out to include the Council etc.

Another good one is the List of Moderators  (http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum/showgroups.php)which is useful.

I'll also park this link (http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum/awards.php?#award18) which is a list of all the padges and their recipients. Doesn't quite fit into contact but it's a useful link ntl.

There is actually a contact page already, but it needs linking to badges as it pre-dates the badge system introduction.  Posts split out to keep WIP thread clean.

It's close. I just want a way of clicking a game and seeing who plays it, who admins it, and how to add them on Steam (and possibly MSN).

That way if I want to start a game it makes targeting the invites a little easier and will encourage me to add some people to my steam friends list. I suppose it could all be done with Steam groups for each game etc instead.
