Title: Feature Request
Post by: TeaLeaf on March 16, 2010, 07:36:06 PM
I would like us to explore what we can do to link into the social networks that exist.  I'm primarily thinking of how we can use things like that to pull in new members who have not previously found dMw are our ethos.  I believe the vB forum already has some suitable features, but can you take a look and report back on what you think it can do please?

Off the top of my head, we could create dMw Facebook/Twitter accounts and have new blog entries posted automatically?

Not really sure what else could be done...

Interesting idea, what would it do?

I love the server browser and teamspeak widgets on the main page but I don't use the main page all that often. Is it possible to put a button to show new posts from the main page and then I could use that as my bookmark without worrying that I have to then click forum and new posts.

Might just be me, but I don't think it would be too obtrusive and if it means more people see the server browser widget it's obviously a good thing.

Why not use the "What's New?" button, that's what I do and it works well.  It also ensures you get to see any new articles, blog posts etc that are posted.

Seems to do the trick. I'm modifying my bookmark now.
