Title: Impressive Feature: PS-CS5
Post by: Seany on March 28, 2010, 02:34:03 PM
I like to dabble about with PS now and again, for mucking about with photos or making skins for Live for Speed.

There is a new feature in the upcoming version that is pretty amazing, so amazing I still have that niggling feeling it may be a hoax, but I don't think so.  Have a look :

I think the last time I was this impressed with a computer effect was when I saw "morphing" done for the first time years ago.

I've seen pretty good spot heals in other apps, in fact my NX2 is pretty good, although the lens flair work was cool. However the content aware features are pretty amazing. The tree was fixed on almost the first attempt.

I'm pretty sure it's genuine :)

I've got no idea how that's supposed to work, and for that reason I assume it can't be real. Things like removing the trash I guess are possible, but the whole road or the rest of that panorama? I can't even begin to speculate how long it would take an algorithm to have a crack at that sort of stuff. If it is real this is one of the most impressive things you can do with a computer.
