Title: Server messages
Post by: Penfold on March 29, 2010, 09:54:18 PM
Someone made some comments about the automated server messages saying they were too frequent and just talked about kicking the whole time.

I know he was a prat but actually I think those of us in there thought he had a point. Once it was disabled it was better and certainly more playable.

Perhaps we can limit this or find a way to make it less 'in your face?'

I played a fair amount and the messages are not too frequent imo, but they can do with the "or we kick". Just state the rule.  If they break it they'll find out soon enough what we do.

Aye, perhaps  'Please make sure you join a squad' is fine.

It's also very large. Is there a way to make it smaller?

I don't think so.. I think the font size is not in our control. It would be good so move the message to the top or bottom of the player's screen so it's not so intrusive however. Hopefully the tools will develop to enable us to do so.
