I seem to have lost some permissions as now I'm only allwed 1 PM in my PM Box and when I try to send one I'm only allowed to send one a 1 person....
Can somebody help, please?
Ta
Same here i cannot Check the Memebers only section of the wow part, nor have full access to my PM box:(
and here too I'm afraid :crying:
Hmm, not sure what has changed, I'll go find Igor. Thanks for the reports, we'll get on it and try to find the source.
was just about to report this and hit the new posts and saw this thread
any way i get this
"inbox contains 57 messages.
You have 113 messages stored, of a total 1 allowed."
The hamster has fallen from the wheel, I have also lost pretty much all the access rights.
ACP logs show Smilodon doing some stuff at about 17:41 this afternoon. We'll ask him to take a peek! Hang in there folks, normal service will be resumed shortly.
Yup, same is happening here. Though I still have access to the admin section of BC2.
same here!
..it. Noticed this thread after deleting my folders
Absolutely no idea what the problem is. I've checked the forum and if you're a supporting member then you can have 250 messages stored. If you're just a forum member you can have 5. Nothing has changed there.
I've just tweaked a few settings that looked a little odd but I'm pretty sure they have been set that way for ages, so I don't think they were the issue.
I'll keep checking through to see if anything shows up but for the record
Everyone becomes a registered user and gets no post ability, currently 2377 members
When you make 10 posts you become a forum user and get a post count of 5 stored messages, currently 458 members
When you pay the subscription you get 250 posts stored, currently 74 members.
Nothing seems to have been changed with that so dependent on which group you belong to you 'should' be getting the correct PM count.
I was on-line earlier to clean up our spammer and his advertisement post.
Please let me know if things are still broken and continue to explain exactly what your specific problems are.
At the moment I cannot see anything wrong but the more info I get the easier (I hope) it will be to sort out.
Thanks
I have lost my access to the certain forum areas and also my whole PM thing has gone away from the top right corner :lmfao:

I also got that problem I'm afraid

Same goes for me.
Also, when I click another users name one the left side of the posts, the usual option to "PM John Doe" isn't available either...
No PM box at all, just "welcome, "T-Bag" and when I last visited.
I fear this problem may be more than just an admin error requiring a tweak.
The forums briefly went very strange earlier this evening and although I have no idea whether there is a connection it's seems a bit strange that immediately afterwards you all get a problem.
I'm still checking but getting a bit chin scratchy now :g:
ok now it seems fixed for me atleast, what did you do smilo? :P
Due to microscopic particles of volcanic ash getting into the flux capacitors the forum went a bit wobbly. Due to my gigantic brain and vast skill I have managed to fix everything..... more or less.... and normal service should now be restored. Or I stupidly miss clicked on a radio button and turned of all your permissions off. You decide.
In the unlikely event that it was utterly and totally my fault, I would like to point out that there are thirty three user-groups on this forum each with their own unique set of permissions. Each user-group has one hundred and seventy six different options that can be set. So in total I had potentially five thousand seven hundred and nine individual settings to check. It's a radio button hell I tell you :ranting2: So I offer this as my feeble excuse as to what happened.
I feel so worthless :crying:

Haha nice excuse smilo, I think I go with the volcanic ash this time however, and I'm just suprised it havn't knocked out other public transports (bus/trains etc)

Or you could offer to buy all those who reported the "quirk" a beer at the lan :narnar:
Thanks for sorting it out though :)
Good work Smilo, seems to be working just fine now
Oooooor, perhaps it was just a part of your brilliant evil plan: first "accidentally" mess something up with the forum, and then come running as the hero of the day  :flirty:
Thanks for fixing it mate :)
Cheers for sorting it Smilo :)
Still looks broken to me, everytime i type "happy Birthday" in a post, it appears as "Merry Chrismas" or "Happy Easter" :sideways:
:flirty:
Good job Fixing it :thumb:
