Due to the recent changes in the guild, it is time for me to move on.

Good luck to you all, may your gametime be joyous.

So long & thanks for all the fish!

I'm sorry for this, but i cannot say i didn't expect it. I really wish you to have fun wherever your path will lead to. It's been a pleasure to have shared at least a little part of it.
Good luck!

she has now been remoeved from the guild as she said she was leaving.

I respect that amethyst has been a good player with us in hte past but we cannot rest on our lorels with players that are no longer playing.

good luck to you in the future and i hope that you find what you are looking for.

From my perspective, Gill had nowhere to go. Gill stopped playing Ame as she wanted to tank and was told (by Jas) that if she levelled and geared Aubergenie - her feral Druid - that she would be included in Raids. So she spent many hours in pugs and with Guildies (when they would help) to get to a place where she now has T9 gear and some experience. However, getting out of instances and into Guild raids proved impossible.

So heeding the call for healers, Gill re-specced Ame to Holy/Disc (from Shadow/Disc) to maximise her usefulness to the Guild as a healer. At T8 she was under-geared for the top raids but no one wanted to help her gear up...some dismissing her, excluding her from Guild runs because of her gear, without knowing anything of her history or seeing her play.

By the term "rest on our lorels" it is acknowledged that Gill was an experienced and skillful player with Ame #1. However Gill has not been resting - instead she has worked hard to achieve what she wanted (towards a place she was promised) and then selflessly tried to help the Guild by playing an old character...being a victim of those who put such faith in the almighty GS.

No Sithy...Gill is upset by the events as they have transpired and has moved all her toons out of dMr.

As such she has also been removed from this forum.

Find this particularly hard to believe - I don't know about others but I don't even have this horrible addon.

I'd vouch that GS had nothing to do with this.

We are weaker without her...

Rob i do feel that you have a squewed perspective, ame has not been around for raids therefor didn't get in.

Because she couldn't turn up to Gear up runs on Thursday because she was always looking after Rob's Son, Alexander

I admit personal bias, but that does not mean that my commentary is anything but cogent reasoning. It is my nature (and my job) to separate personal feelings from reasoned debate, being able to see both sides...something which infuriates Gill on occasion :-)

Initially Aubergenie did sign up for raids but was told that she wasn't geared and experienced enough...so she sought to remedy that where she could.  Then the progression raids began and Gill couldn't come on Thursdays until 19:45 (these two points have been covered in another thread and touched on by Jim).

Ame was highly undergeared for ICC...but that was covered previously in this thread. My mention of GearScore in my previous post was not a directl reference to the add-on, but to the 'level' of Ame's gear. Judging someone by their gear either with, or without, the add-on is essentially the same... and on a personal note: plaudits to all those who do not use the add-on :-)

If I understand her correctly then Gill feels that after all the work that she put in to help others (both in game and in personal lives), when help was asked for in return, it just was not forthcomming.
