Trip,
This is to let you know that you did not make it into dMw and I'm going to try and explain why.
The simple fact is that you have not fitted in well with our style of play. There's no denying that you've made enormous progress with your aim but your teamplay is let down by your persistant need to be an TANGO. So much so that if you do not remedy the poor aspects of your play you will find yourself banned from the server. It's that serious.
These are some examples of the things that the dMw members have brought to the attention of the admins that label you as a poor team player.
You are noisy when the rest of the team are trying to either sneak up on the enemy or are listening for signs of their attack. You do this by careless footstep noise, spray paint, 'use' key or (worse of all) gunfire.
You fire off your guns at spawn even if the whole team is short of cash. Those bullets should be reserved for the enemy. You should concentrate more on shooting the enemy than crates, floors and walls.
You are constantly reminded not to run with a slashing knife. You have injured your own team on more than one occasion.
Your radio commands should be appropriate for the situation and you should not spam with them. Also, you seem to think it's funny to answer 'negative' when directed by a team leader.
Lastly, your lack of teamwork means you often wander across the sights of other team members. You should be aware of where your team mates are and try to take up a position where you can cover them.
So there you have it. Either remedy these bad habits immediately or risk being banned from the server. The choice is yours.
You've played on the Meat Hook long enough to know what's expected of PCS players and, quite frankly, you're falling a long way short and spoiling the game for others. This will not be allowed to continue.
This message has gone out to all the PCS Admins. You will be monitored for signs of improvement. You will be kicked from the server the first time you repeat the things you've been warned about. You will be banned if you repeatedly offend.

That is good news as i really was not expecting him to return...

Well let's hope he continues on MeatHook AND improves, because he has been guilty of all the above right up until this week. He's not a bad player really, but needs desperately to cut out the slashing, spawn shooting, clog-wearing habits he has developed on the publics.

Kicked him this afternoon for deliberately HE'ing his own team.
He and I were playing as T on prodigy. We were all guarding a planted bomb in the computer/science room. Trip and I were crouched on the computers looking towards the upper entrance. Two Ts were in this entrance way and were visible to the eye and on radar. He threw an HE into the entrance way injuring both teammates. When challenged on voice he said he didn't know they were there.
In an earlier incident (not witnessed by me) he was accused by Wintermute of deliberately throwing the bomb off the 'lower route' balcony making it irretrievable.
What do we do with him? Remember, he has already had a written warning.
I was on HLSW at the time when the accusation happened and there were a few unhappy people , so i gave him a personel message just to let him know i was watching him closely and that seemed to calm him down.
I noticed that someone did and admin_vote_kick for trip after i told him i was watching him but he came straight back.
As for wat to do with him im not sure as he doesnt annoy me as much as other people (Toxeth is doing my head in)

I saw him on there earlier this afternoon and as there were no admins on, I jumped onto the server to watch him. Unfortunately he left after only a couple of rounds so I didn't get a chance to see him at length.
As to what we should do.....well I think that it's clear enough that he annoys people and isn't changing to PCS. In my book that means we:
(1) Watch him carefully when he is on server
(2) Issue ONE csay warning when he deviates from PCS
(3) Kick him with a 24 hour ban
(4) Log the ban at these forums with details of what he did and let him know what he did.
(5) Lengthen the ban by a day at a time if he continues to deviate and then just 'ban 0' him when he reaches 7 days.
BTW - someone MUST teach me how to do this HLSW thang - I'm real crap at it :oops:

His 'offences' when taken on their own are quite petty (TW'ing the Head Admin aside) but he's such an TANGO.
My vote is 'no'. He's promised to behave before and didn't. :evil:
Dunno how but Trip was on the server tonight using WONID 2100012.
I've re-added that to the perm-ban list.
He's now on the forums again - sheesh.
I can't ban the reported IP cos it's obviously an NTL proxy and it would also ban myself and Frenzy (amongst others).

My 2 cents:
We have banned him on more than one occassion.
I do NOT want him to visit the Hook when he is getting bored - that is the time he is most likely to piss others off.
He has had his chance and burnt his bridges.
We have enough other regulars that I do nto want him taking up a server slot.

The time he got banned he killed an admin in spawn (DogMeat if I recall right) and I think he shouldn't be let in.
If he should be let in it would be after the relaunch of TCS with Gandys register thingie and CD on both servers .... but I am not sure even then.

Trip has been a pain in the TANGO, now his alleged assault on the server has gone too far. Seems he is on NTL world and lives in cambridge.
Now I could add the NTL range assigned to cambridge 80.6.112.0 - 80.6.127.255 to the routers and just drop the lot.
2 questions:
1) Do we have any clan peeps with NTL in cambridge
2) Are we happy dropping all peeps who live in cambridge and use NTL and want to play on our games
Ok so the answer to 1) could be "NO" and 2) could be a grand total of "0".

What he did was post an incredibly long line of text in reply to one of the topics in the Smite's Spray Shop forum (the one where he had the cheek to ask Smite to create his Halo Clan a spray that no-one answered :lmfao: ).
I had to delete the whole topic to clear the post (the 'delete post' option was somewhere way over to the right somewhere).

I remember when he first started playing on MH and kept commenting on the fact he was from around your way, that is why for some time i thought that you knew him.
Also Who was the guy you had as work experience a while back that came for a game on MH?

His name is Aaron Williams and his Dad works for BT too.
He's about 17 now I'd guess.

Just to flag this up for peeps, Trip registered for the community again in the wee hours. I have immediately suspended his new account for 4 days. He already has three banned accounts with the community.
The email that the board sent to him asked him to contact admins@deadmen.co.uk to discuss his account. It also noted that if he did nothing then he would be banned at the end of the 4 day period.
Just wanted people's views on what we should do, after all he is now year older and possibly a little wiser ;)

I joined the server last night when I saw he was on and warned him he was being carefully watched. Up to the time I left he didn't step out of line once.
I suggest he's on a 'One strike yer out' deal.
BTW, be aware that my HLSW showed him as also having played under the name Bennie.

Oops, yep, sorry I forgot to post back here. He was nice an dpolite, he had forgotten about his other 4 forum accounts (three banned and one in the name of Bennie). He was looking at coming to the LAN.
He seemed a lot more mature than when I last spoke with him, maybe he has grown up and changed. His Bennie account ha sbeen deleted (with his agreement) and he now uses -Trip- as his main account.
OB also spoke with him and he seemed to be behaving himself.
Final decision is to allow him to participate in the community and throw him out if he offends.

Giving him an invite to the LAN may be a good idea. He has been a thorn in our sides esp TL and OB. But he has been persistent..... even some time ago I realised this and wondered why?
Drinking with a guy (or I guess young bloke) can give an astute observer a good insite into his psyche, so why not I say? give him an invite with brass knobs on.
He won't be coming to this LAN. I spoke with his Dad today.
