seems nice, to bad I don't have a ipod/android
Anyone here who has actually tried the app? :)
I have and it is way better for me than browsing to the forums. I think it might even tempt me to drop $2.99 on it for the Pro version.
That is seriously useful - cheers for the headsup TL.
very cool.. I'll get once the beta for bb is over..
I'm a user too. Very nice on Android. Recommended
Might just be me, but that is not for me... I'd rather browse the forum on the browser :)
I just tried this app on my iPhone and it's reporting the our forum is 'closed' and thus unavailable - is this right?
Should be open. Working just fine on Android right at the moment. Any other iPhone users seeing this?
Delan, yep I'd rather use a browser on my PC, but actually I find this plugin way faster to read and move round when on my Hero.
I've been using the free version on my iPod Touch and it's working fine. I'll be upgrading it to the paid for one later.
Working for me (mainly) on an iPhone.
Couple of permissions errors but in the main it seems to be fine Tut.

I meant browser on the Hero, as in the built-in Dolphin browser.
That said: By supporting that app - is that meant as a substitute for a mobile-compatible layout of the site?

Well, it really doesn't want to work on mine.
I can access the other public forums without any problems - it's just Deadmen Walking that won't work :(

It's a convenience nothing more. If you prefer Dolphin that's fine, but we have not designed the site to be mobile compatible, it just happens to be readable by most phones! We don;t support the app in any way, we just installed the plugin so that you can decide for yourself if it works for you.
I've bought it and in the main I think it's great.
It sorely needs a 'view first unread post' button to save you having to wade through numerous posts though to find where you had got to. Overall though it's a lot easier than using a browser.
I have run it on both, I must say I think the HTC version is better it is clearer to navigate IMO.
But great find TL
Re-installing the app on my iPhone seems to have fixed whatever was wrong with it.
Great little app, nice find :)
works on I phone 4 too :
Guys,
What's the forum URL you are using with this app? I'm trying another free forum viewer and //www.deadmen.co.uk/forum/forum.php cannot be identified as a forum on the app (Convo is the app).
As far as I am aware we have to run an add-on on our site to make Tapatalk work. When I set it up on my phone I just did a search for 'deadmen' and that was it. However I just checked and Tapatalk identifies the site as //www.deadmen.co.uk/forum. Not sure if that helps.
Do a search in Tapatalk for 'Dead Men Walking' then just click to connect to it from within Tapatalk. (add it to your Tapatalk favourites too)
Did randomly browse froums off my android phone and this programme came up offering me to use it didnt have a clue what it was when i get phone credit may have to look into getting it if you say its as good as it is
It makes browsing the forum on a smaller phone (HTC Hero) screen a breeze.
