Hi guys. Just wanted to get your thoughts on promoting DFE to ranged classleader. He's pretty much doing the job anyway. He's studying the logs, helping other huntards, putting up the video's and such. And Limpsy and myself could really use the help on leading the ranged dps. Especially on huntard knowledge.
I already talked to Jas and Limps about this. Tanales, if you read this, plz let us know what you think. Everyone else: Please share your thoughts :)
He would get a thumbs up from me just for the effort he puts in. As you say he is already a big help .... maybe he could take on the attendance logging too (I wish)
Yes from me, but at the same time I would say if we promote one it's time for a prune and tidy up.
You already have 8 in Council (I have ignored myself):
TeaLeaf, FatBob, sheepy, Whitey, gijs, evoxer, Michelanio, Maypal, Gondromir
and currently you have 5 in CLs (Tanales, Limps, Bellanie, Aldaren, Leemo) which you want to increase to 6.
That's 14 chiefs in the 25 indian raid which is starting to look a little top heavy to me.
I would have moved this to Council as that's where promotions/demotions of CLs should be discussed, but you have asked for specific feedback of other CLs for some reason so I left it here.
I know where one can be pruned. Me since i have moved from Healing to Melee no longer a point in me staying as a CL, but the only other point i bring up is do we need 3 ranged class leaders as we already have Limps and Tan. Dont get me wrong they do a fantastic job but does the ranged need 3 leaders + the ranged officers?
I agree with the "Too many chiefs, not enough indians" kind of argument, having 10+ assists in a raid is reaching pointlessness, in my opinion.
Class leaders have to ask themselves if they're able/willing to continue to carry out the duties it entails, I suppose.
As a postscript to that - Dfe is excellent in all respects.
However, whether or not he's a CL isn't my main concern currently, regardless of promotion or whatever, he'll still be hitting the forums and raiding well whenever he's on.
The chronic under-performers are what we should prioritise in my opinion, the people who would get most benefit from the forums don't even use touch them (pointless listing them, too many).
I suggest moving raid sign-ups to the forums, to force people onto them.

This has been done in the past mate, but i ilike the idea it might be worth a try again, but the ingame calendar is helpful for the ingame inv button
tbh i really havent done much.
DFE can have my spot as a CL, and i doubt ill be raiding much from now on, lost interest in the game atm.

My thoughts in this is that we should deff bump his rank upwards to CL if he is prepared to be an active CL that help ppl improve ppl that needs it, and ofc we will sort it out on TS amongs us when we have time for a meeting. and i dont think we are to many as we all have active RL it is better to have smalls task for more then big task's for few.

I talked to him and he's more than willing, even though he stresses that his wife won't let him raid more than 2 nights a week. My opinion there is that his main role as classleader would be what he's been doing all along: analyzing raids, pointing out new strategies, helping out fellow hunters and keeping an eye on ranged dps in general. Limpsy and myself can handle the raidnights and signups when he's not on yet. I explained to him that nothing is final yet, but he's willing if we need him.
