Just to keep you in the loop.
I asked both Dewey and Paddy if they were still interested in being admins.
The question was two-fold:
1. To let them know that I felt that they weren't meeting even the most basic expectations of the role.
2. To give them the opportunity to decide for themselves if they would or could turn the corner.
Both of them agreed with my summation of them and tendered their resignations.

In addition (just in case you were not aware), TeaLeaf informed me that T-Bag had tendered his resignation. I can only guess that it was shortly after GhostMjr's decision to step down.

Aye, he resigned the same day as GM resigned, mainly due to workloads I believe and decreasing time on the server.
It doesn't stop there..
I'd like to hear from you guys whom you believe would make a good admin.
Remember! It's about playing our way.. not just being here..
It's also about the commitment to encourage others to play the dMw way.
The responsibility of being an admin goes beyond just playing on our server (although that's a good start!) it's about maturity, about dedication and about leading others to focus on playing tactically.

Just a heads-up Dan that you may not be aware...
Please note that if you're choosing new admins then they should be Supporting Members of the Community.
This was decided some time ago as it was deemed that Supporting Members were those people who are most dedicated to dMW and who have demonstrated their support and desire in keeping the Community running.
That said, if there is a potential good admin out there who isn't a SM then we don't want to lose them. Perhaps look at it from an unofficial point of view and let the non-Supporting Member admins know what the expectations are.

Well that was what it was. I think we'll discuss this more at the BBQ on Saturday as we don't want to lost good admins just because they're not supporting members.

I don't know Dannage particularly well but Rizzy has been a long time member and was formerly a CS admin so knows the ropes, the score and the expectations.
I don't have a problem with either of them and haven't heard anything negative.

Hi Penfold.
I used to play CS lots in the day, but was never taken under the dMw wing for some reasons. Proberly because I was always wearing a clan tag for my time there. Its a game that will be missed..
I've been a Jolt community admin for aslong as I can remember, before the days of ADSL. And have a few years of experience doing that.
Hopefully we can get BC2 to be more popular within the community!

You may have realized (as have I a long time ago) that Tutonic has been absent from posting in the BC2 Admin Forums for quite some time.
In addition, you may have noticed (as have I) that Tutonic hasn't played on our BC2 server in a very long time. (7.6.10 to be exact).
Despite my attempts to get him back in the swing of things and back not only contributing to this forum but also to play on our server and / or admin our server, I've been unsuccessful.
As of today I have removed Tutonic as an admin.
Let me know if you have any questions or comments either publically or privately.

Whether you've picked up on this or not, Blunt has been putting in significant hours on our BC2 server since the outset.
Whether it be assisting in getting the server off the ground in the evenings or playing through the nights with us all, Blunt has racked up the most hours on our server than any other player!!
Blunt has been an active member of dMw since he joined and that includes the excellent work he's done on COD4.
It is with Great Pleasure that I announce Blunt as an Honorary Admin!! :yahoo:
This comes with no responsibilities as Blunt already contributres to the Community with his efforts in COD4 and most importantly, his work on getting our server going is Outstanding!!

I've spoken with Ragnarh and due to his lack of game time we've agreed to remove admin status and add a Green Badge in it's place.
It's all nice / nice so nothing to worry about there.

Effective Today, Valdeko has stepped down as Admin.
Just for the record, it was his choice and I'm a wee bit suprised.
I'm not planning on a replacement at this moment in time.

I've had a request from KKND to have the ability to change maps as he's tired of getting the server going on Valp. Two things:
1. Are you OK with that?
2. Should we consider making KKND a full Admin?
On the latter, he does put a lot of effort into getting the server going and he set's a good example. I have noticed on the odd occation that he can be a bit agressive to publics who break the rules however. I think we can reign that in but wanted to hear your feedback as well.

Rizzy, I'm not sure that you can introduce another level of admin really without making it overly complicated. Either he'd make a suitable admin or he won't.
Ninja, if you think he's ready then I'd promote him. Talk to him about his attitude with pubbies and remind him our aim is to "encourage and develop" potential new members rather than shout, ban and alienate them. The role of admin is not only to ensure that the server runs smoothly but also to act as a teacher and recruiter.

what I've witnessed tonight has put me off for now. I will be in touch with KK on his approach to see if I can guide him to the dMw way. I won't have admins p issing off the publics
I think it's for the best Ninj although it's 100% your call and Council obviously support whatever choice you make.
Just one question. If he's not an admin, I'm not even sure why he's admin'ing if you get my drift. It's not his place to admin on a server where he's not an admin. I know that most dMw members admin to a degree but if it's detrimental to the server and the prospective new members then I'd seriously think about asking him to butt out.
Either way please do get in touch with him and then take it from there.

I sent a lengthy PM to KKND outlining my concerns a few days ago. He's reassured me that he can chill and follow the standard that has been set by the BC2 Admins. Last night for example I've seen a change.
We had some pubby moaning from the word go and then said something to the effect that "I'm not playing on a server where people don't die!!" KKND was the first to say OK Goodbye and did not try to engage in an argument at all. (I also said " OK BB")
What I have agreed is that on a 30 day trial basis he can fly the colours.
KKND is on most nights trying to get the server going.. He's got Guts and Guts is enough.
