Hi Folks,
In addition to Friday Night BC2 night, I have conferred with my fellow GLââ,¬â,,¢s and been given the go-ahead to run a trial of BC2 Squad Death Match.
The event will take place this Saturday, 19th June 2010. The servers will be configured to run SDM all day but Iââ,¬â,,¢d appreciate that we all head in for a 7pm start. Admins will be on hand to kick/move non-community members in the event that we canââ,¬â,,¢t get a full 16 signed up below.
What is BC2 Squad Death Match (SDM)?
In SDM, four squads of four members square off against each other to see which squad can reach the kill limit first. The way to win SDM is to stay with your squad and work together to hunt down the enemy squads that are hunting you! The opportunities for close quarter combat and intricate squad play are endless.
How will it work?
The server will be switched to SDM sometime during Saturday Morning. We will have TS3 channels set up for SDM and the four squads. Once you join a squad, flip over to TS3 and join the appropriate channel on TS3 (Or ask me to move you). Once youââ,¬â,,¢re in the right squad, enjoy the fun!
The idea is to see if SDM provides improved tactical play or is just an enjoyable diversion that we can switch to every now and then.

Just a quick update..
Due to the limited signup we'll go without a password. I've spoken in game to a few not on this list so it should be a better turnout than for England's next game..

tactics were good between TS members
SDM definately attracted some pubbies (maybe they were searching TDM?)
so it would be nice to see it on rotation.
some maps may be more suitable for TDM than others?
TS went down several times tonight too
Wish I could of joined in but Saturdays are not good for me. Keen to have a go next time though.

The maps did get a bit repetitive.... There again after 5 hours of gaming they are probably bound to :D
Need to sort my teamspeak out, as I couldn't hear a damn thing half the time over the gun shots.

yes, let's try it today too.
problem is, when non-dmw dominate the teams, that one would get on the tank, and since the other teams do not coopearte (since the game pushes them to kill each other, not cooperate), then no one would make the needed effort to kill the tank. also, some maps are made so even when you spawn, you spawn when an enemy sees you and kills you instantly.

Sadly an insane work schedule is really limiting my work schedule atm, will be back for more soon tho
