I have changed the startup/monitor scripts for the L4D2 servers this morning to automatically update the servers when the server is restarted. So if the server needs an update then just issue a "quit" in rcon/HLSW and it will close down the current server, perform the update and restart it. I have tested this after an update has been applied and it only adds a few seconds to a standard restart.
p.s.
I'm not sure how popular L4D2 is at the moment but do we still need 5 L4D2 servers running?
Thanks Whitey.
We do seem to have a surfit of L4D2 servers. I am tempted to say that we can cut it down. Are there any objections and/or suggestions to how many of which sort we should have? One public and one private?

I had three publics running purely because they quickly fill up and have dMw adverts in place.
As long as they are still filling up then lets leave them alone.
Gave all the servers a kick last night for the latest mutation.
The publics immediately filled up with 8 players each on restart.
Looks like Chainsaw was started with the normal script and not the update one.
The rest have updated, but Chainsaw just restarts.

The update line in the script had been commented out (probably during the troubleshooting). I've taken out the comment and it's updating now.
Thanks Whitey.
