These (http://www.mmo-champion.com/content/1823-Inspect-Throttle-Blue-posts) blue post picked up from mmo-champion are interesting in particular.
Reliability of Gayscore might be undermined (if there ever was one :p ) by throttling Inspect requests and - and I personaly find this one having a big impact on the perception of the game - Epic items will start to feel more epic!
So does this mean that every time someone wants to inspect you you get a pop up with Yes or No ???
Then we will be worse off lol.
If you can just simply deactivate the possibility of people reading your gear score, then I'm all ears :P

I've been anoyed by GS for some time realy. Had some discussions about it in my horde guild as well. What I understand is, that GS just sums up your item levels. So in theory you can get something like a 5K GS in pvp gear with no hit and allowed into (pug) raids no problem and can't do jack *beep*, while if you have a few pve epics and some blue but hitcapped and a GS of like 4 or 4.5K you are not allowed to come even though you can outdps/heal/tank the other guy with 5K.
I've seen things like that happen in VoA. People in full epic, but not hitting more than 800-1000 dps because they simply couldn't hit anything.
But hey, the've got achievment and epic gear, so they are "good".
Main reason why pretty much none of my alts never done pug raids (ony, OS, voa, naxx)...because No Achievement No invite and that horrible GS stuff.
Demanding 4.5K or 5K GS to do Naxx10 or Obsidian Sanctum is BS. On horde side we managed to do OS and Naxx in blue gear back in the days (beginning of WotLK).
But, as soon as GS is "banned" people will find something else... "Link ICC25 hardmode achievement to join Naxx10!!11one".
I do my bit each week to pour scorn on GS users & quoters, by shouting in Trade for more people for the weekly raid quest and ending the sentence with "mention GS to be ignored and pitied". It's amazing how many people still whisper their GS and are surprised when ignored and not invited. OTOH, I get plenty of happy people joining because there is zero epeen requirement. Not had a problem in any of those raids to date, they all worked fine even though GS was not (thank goodness) a part of them!
