Post by: OldBloke on June 26, 2010, 03:02:45 PM
This was a surprise :blink:

* Numerous stability and peformance improvements
* Various multiplayer fixes and improvements
* Improved support for CPUs with 4 and more cores
* Larger file cache on systems with more RAM
* Sound improvements
* AI improvements

Assuming you're already on 1.05 then go here (http://www.arma2.com/supply/all-downloads/file/235-arma2patch_105_to_107.html?lang=en).

I'm patching servers now so get on it people.

Hi guys,

Do you know were to place this command? -cpuCount=6

Is it in the command line shortcut or somewhere else? Cheers.

Quote[71143] Improved: -cpuCount=4 is now default on computers with more than four logical CPUs to prevent hyperthreading causing performance problems. If you want to use more CPUs, use -cpuCount=N to override this.

I would assume this is to bring us up to date with the release of the expansion (stand alone) on Tuesday.

in steam right click on the arma game and go to properties and then set launch options, you will see a little empty box, put the command in there. this is what mine looks like

-winxp -nosplash -world=empty -maxmem=2047 -cpuCount=4 -mod=@DC

cant remember what the first one is for... -nosplash is for not showing the intro.....-world=empty is for the menu screen to have no ships on it (improves perfromance).....-maxmem=2047 for some reason the game runs smoother with this option.....cpu count..duh!! and -mod=@DC is for the digital compass
