Also we have moved from 37th spot to 34th. 30th-33th have the same number of bosses down, however only 30th have killed Saurfang. Rotface, Fester and Lanathel should be easier than Deathwhisper or Saurfang so we could climb to 24-25th spot easily this week.
Good Job Folks!!! I posted the kills on .XSA and from the looks of things on there we would be 14th Kill on LK Normal - 15th on Marrowgar, Deathwhisper, Lootship and 13th on Saurfang

Not really, I think you speak about 25 man heroic kills but these were 10 man heroic only

Second night didnt go so smooth. We decided to go to Plagueworks, Rotface specifically. We had some positioning/kiting issues that are caused by added Vile Gas mechanic known from Festergut. Also kiting big Oozes through Slime pools is not that trivial as in normal mode. We had close to 10 attempts, some better that others and we called the raid with a wipe at 1.6%
I found some tips about this fight:
1. Vile Gas doesnt disorient you if you stand still - DO NOT MOVE.
2. Adds tank IS valid Vile Gas target
3. Mutated Infection debuffs the target with 75% healing reduction (opposed to 50% on normal) - needs to be dispelled SOONER
4. Slime Pool works differently. On normal, it slows you by 25% + 4K damage / 1 sec. On heroic it slows you by 10% + 5K damage each second. Stacks up to 20.
You can eliminate it with HoF, Every Man For Himself, FREE ACTION POTION, MasterÃ,´s Call.
Point 1,2 and 4 tell me that hunters could be preferred tanks/kiters on this fight again
1. We can taunt (8 secs CD)
2. We can DPS the boss while kiting Big Ooze(s) - that gives HUGE DPS boost, over 5K in 10 mans
3. We can Disengage from Slime Floods (25 secs CD)
4. If Vile gas is on us and add is close, we can pop Deterrence and will not get 1-shotted - even when standing in Slime Flood (90 secs CD)
5. If Disengage is on CD, we can use MasterÃ,´s Call to remove snare and be immune to it for 4 secs (60 secs CD)
6. Sometimes even our OH SHlT button (FD) can save the situation (25 secs CD)
I think we should give it a go, it proved to be quite efficient on several attempts when we had to step in as an emergency for the dead tank.
Problem is you are swapping a tank for a hunter, so you gain tank dps and lose a lot of hunter dps due to the additional kiting responsibilities. It's generally easier just to let the tank kite as he has the extra HP to not worry about green ooze and then let the hunter dps so that you kill boss before you get overrun. Tanks should not have issues kiting the big ooze, period, and when they sit at 30-40k more HP than a hunter then they're a good choice for the kiting!
On normal I found tanking the adds easy but had more than a few problems last night with the slowing which allowed the big ooz to catch me.

Fine, TL. I just like to be useful not only as a killing machine so I search for extra tasks :)
I agree on the part that tank should be able to kite the adds and they have quite a cushion in their HP, however, in my tanking spec with tanking gear I have close to 45K HP - it is rather 20K less than 30-40K.
But I disagree with the DPS part of your statement. Conventional kiter tank is doing 0 BOSS DPS on this fight. Lets I say I would do mediocre 8K as DPS ("bad luck" with Infections and kiting small oozes). If we switch, the melee DPS would do, say, mediocre 7.5K DPS. Kiting hunter would easily do over 5K DPS on BOSS. And hunters have better/more kiting abilities than any tank and also we can aggro the Ooozes more easily if things go south.
Dont take it as I like to argue, you surely have more experiences with these encounters but I simply cant digest this :)

I think it comes down to the need I guess, if the dps is lacking and you have to drop to 1 tank then that's what you have to do, but if you have the dps then the healers would prefer the tank on the oozes for the additional margin. Horses for courses depending on the particular raid you have that night!
When i did tank the hc vr on my druid i did find it soo damn easy, just spam FF. DFE u saying u got 45k, i got 75k hp soo its still 30k more =)
and i got kinda suprised that u did take saurfang but did wipe on rotface, since fester and rot + gunship are some of the more easy bosses in there then lord marrowgar and saurfang =)
Rot down on heroic :D killed all the others (except LK) on normal to get some people the kingslayer achievement fast.
