Benny has managed to set up the BF2 map with no AI and I think 5 man teams,  I think we should trail this as a event.

Get people to sign up for a specified night and run it.  

What do you lot think?

I'm up for it.

My suggestion: give each team very clearly defined objectives/missions and have nominated leaders on each side to make sure they are not ignored, otherwise it could quickly decend into a frustrating deathmatch.

Tut if you could help with this, mate we need to get as many people as possible, do you think a Tuesday or Sunday is better or is there more turn out on a non offical night?  I want to put it on a Offical night so we dont detract from the other games.

I think we should give about 2 weeks notice?  or is that too much?  also get people to sign up for it.

Just so you admins are aware. When you set up the map, you can select and control AI using the initial map set up screen. What is difficult is selecting the objectives.  I'd suggest channels in TS. I'm happy to help if needed.

My thoughts,

Much better when using in game coms and worked more together.  

Need to make less bases I think.  

Benny also shouted out a idea of having one base and all try to take it and hold it.

If I get a chance tonight I'll break the copy we have and take all but three bases off of it, one each to start in and a central one to assault.

I'm not sure how the homebase piece works but I'll give it a go. If it fails it will be a homebase each and 2 to fight over.

Right, edited and uploaded. Benny_Battlefield.

All bases removed with the exception of the home bases and two cap'able bases on either side of the runway. I've tested it and it seems to work, might need to move the two capture bases apart a little but it's pretty much there. Took a bit of nosing in the config files but think I got everything.

bug feedback please and I'll try and pretend I know what I'm doing before asking OB to help me out.
