Sulky,

Just a thought.. I'm on VF and I had a problem with my BBerry not working with my car bluetooth for some reason or another (it did work flawlessly prior). I took it in to VF shop on the highstreet and they put the new software on it for me which thankfully corrected the problem.

Perhaps you can just walk in and ask for the same? If so, make sure you back up everything just in case.. Best of luck!

root it, wipe it and install a custom 2.2 rom. Then just make sure you never accept another Network update again. It's not the easiest thing in the world but it will liberate your phones for ever.

Use this method to root the phone

but make sure you're comfortable with the process as it's technically possible to melt your phone if you don't do it right. There's also a few threads kicking about on this forum about rooting HTC's

I just hope they haven't done what T-Mobile did with my Hero. Their Rom update (not over the air) makes rooting incredibly difficult. I can't get my head around it, whereas every other network it seems to be a walk in the park.
