Was alright...

Not alot more to say about it tbh. As a co-op game it's great fun, as a PVP game... adequate.. average.. inoffensive..

It didn't work quite as well as I would have liked last night.

Some suggestions:

Limit the number of snipers to ONE per team.
Non-snipers should not be able to equip scoped weapons (ACOG sights only)
Light vehicles only (Humvee, Vodnik, MG only; no TOW missles)
Bases 1 & 2 to be placed further apart, or out of direct line-of-sight (to try and cut down on the spawn killing)

Perhaps Arma II PvP is just a bit too loose to be fun. It would be nice if it was more structured (ie, like a co-op mission but vs other players) but I'm not sure if this can be achieved.

I can try messing with the loadouts but it is a limitation of the game as you'll be able to pick up corpses weapons.

That's dead easy, I can do that. Missions are pretty easy to do if they are basic, clear town of enemy type things, or blow up xyz. I've dabbled but I have limited imagination. If you give me a brief of what you actually want with locations on the map, I'll give it a go.
The downside would be that it's fairly obvious where to defend if both sides can see the brief. We could pick a town and set two sides against each other to drive the enemy out..

the bit that annoyed me was the pub that was sitting 600metres away with the american apc just sheeling position 2 constantly...even when there was no one there

otherwise if it was infentry only it would ne good fun

Interesting experience, I wouldn't mind giving it another go.
I think the choice/layout of map is critical to this mode.
Are there any other PvP modes?
