I see we have a flurry of applications and that's great news, but something was running through my mind last night that I thought was worth raising here for discussion. I'll use quote from Limpsy in response to the druid app, but this is a general point used for discussion only:

There is a risk that if you extend for too long you do damage. The raid gears up with the clearances and I heard several people over the last few raids who are desparately in need of frost badges for more tier items which they cannot get with the continual extensions.
You're frightened to not extend as you do not have sufficient numbers of geared people.
You do not have sufficient numbers of geared people because you extend.
That's a circular argument and when you extend both ICC25 and ICC10 it seriously impacts your gear up rate.
I think the time has come to consider if you have extended enough? I'd be tempted to get in again at ground zero at this point, start with fresh ICC10 clearances this coming reset, then assess attendance and make a separate decision for ICC25 later in the week (extend if you do not have the required numbers). At least then people grab some ICC10 gear and badges (and the weekly ICC raid quest).
It's a numbers game. I'd grab the applicants and grow the guild, gear will follow. Look at Sinap, we blood him in a raid and immediately afterwards he persuades a friend to apply. Get people in because they know people, then friends follow if we do a good job and the guild grows and becomes stronger. Make a point of following up new members to see if they have any friends who might be interested in joining the raid.
What are your thoughts?
I think we have a huge problem and will struggle to get LK 25 down unless we reset and get a good raiding team formed. I hate the fact we need to do it and I know it will upset a few people (me included) but we need to do it and sooner rather than later. I'd recommend posting that 25 man will be a fresh run on Thursday and see if we get the people signing up.
We have the option of doing the odd fight (loot ship) in heroic to keep the interrest of the people that have everything from 25 man normal. Lets face it, if we don't have a team good enough to blast through to LK in a couple of raid nights, we don't have a team good enough to take down LK! We have some good people coming in and lets get them hooked on DMR and give them some upgrades to help us through until Cata. Lets have a chat on TS about this soon (Tuesday night before raid would be good).
One option is to keep the lockout on a toon / alt and keep going back to it ... 1 week of farming gear / 1 week of LK .. I'm happy to keep a toon with the lk lockout to be used and abused as needed
