Title: Current Raiding Focus
Post by: JonnyAppleSeed on August 18, 2010, 06:11:57 PM
Ok we hit a point where 25 man raids are just not an option at the moment ...

Have a look here http://dkp.deadmen.co.uk/attendance.asp I think you can agree we just don't have the people on at the moment. The officers are still of the opinion that 25 mans are the target tho with the current roster it's just not possible. So we need to fall back to plan B. That plan is to push 10 man heroics and also keep enough raiding content going on to keep everyone interested. What it would mean for people is if you want to be involved in the heroic runs then DONT get locked out to 10 man on your main. 25 man will be opened up to raid as you wish.

I'm also feeling we will have some interest in just plain old gear up runs on any toon. If ya not too bothered about getting locked I would like to see them forming as and when we get enough people on

At the moment recruitment is being pushed both in-game and various sites and we are seeing good people come to us. Any help regarding recruitment is also most welcome so it may be time to have a scan over your friends list and see if people are interested. Dmr is more than flexible enough to have a spot filled by known good players

Thats about it the lockout on 25 man removed (for now) and 10 man locked if ya interested in heroics.

The attendance does look low but a few people have taken a week or 2 holiday during that period so % are down, hopefully come September attendance will pick back up.
As 10 mans are locked I assume the guild runs will be organised on:
1. Sign ups Tuesday Thursday Sunday? recently a lot of guild 10 mans have been over Friday Saturday's I don't want mind swapping my raiding nights/times but 5 or 6 weeks a night on WOW is too much for me (well its not its just im not allowed)
2. Requirements of the RL tank dps ..
3. Some kind of rota?
I tend to find my main healing organising alt runs which I love, but reality tells me that no-one generally turns up 3 nights on an alt run, as their main comes first and chances of progress/ loot are low.
I would like to use all my 1/4 mastery powers to bribe a way in to getting LK down on 10 man for all our raiders mains.

Fun before acheivements :)

The official raid nights are still Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.  That's not to say other runs won't show up in the calendar but attendance will be reviewed based on those nights.

Thanks for the update!

Hmm... I'm feeling like a slacker because my name isn't even showing at the attendance list, yet I've been there ;). Not that only 1 healer/melee dps name would matter a lot, but still.. its one missing ;) Please add it up next time :)

Meanwhile, the 10 man heroic icc idea sounds good to me. Hell perhaps even some lovely insanity achievements out there in those old instances.. ;)
Although I get the feeling that there's going to be a HC raiding group and a normal LK killing group.
