Bought this and playing it at the moment on the Imperium PVP server, Defiant side.
If we have enough people playing we'll set up a 'guild' there.

omw..:p
Me + Bastet + Vermilion are on Cloudborne PVP - Defiant Side. I'm L22 already and don't particularly want to reroll again :D
I am new to MMO-RPG games and wondering if this is a good game to dip my toe into the water with?
I purposely have stayed clear of WoW as I have had too many friends fail Uni and have their lives consumed by the monster that is Blizzard. I take it you have to pay for this game as a one off cost then pay a monthly fee? Might I be better in which case to just get a WoW trial account on a "friendly" server where I know a few people? As a n00b I will be starting with zero knowledge =).
Any help would be gratefully received.

I have bought this game 3 weeks ago,and to be honest i dont like it.
But thats my thoughts bout it.
But if you decide to try this game you can buy my account:norty:
Yes you have to pay monthly fee.
You can try WoW like you said for 10 days free i believe and see if you like the world off mmo-rpg games.
For this game you have to pay also monthly fee.
And off course there are expasions for WoW.
If you do try WoW, then do it on EU-Aszune realm where DMR are based, on the Alliance side.
I bought Rift and quite liked it, but have not levelled all the way up yet so can't comment on the end game. It plays quite similar to WoW in some ways.
I might give this a try when I have some time...
No clue what the best class if for someone new to the game. I am guessing a guy with High HP and simple bludgeoning fighting is the easiest to play? Someone suggested a Paladin for this.
I think I will move this over to the other forums by starting a new post as this has gone way off topic.
Thanks for your help.

I'm currently working through Rift with my old Axe and Beard WOW buddies (Lv31) on a Rp-PvP shard and it's a blast It's also a very refreshing change from WOW, which for me is getting very stale.
I'm not sure Rift will last for years like WOW, but right now it's great fun and eating up the hours.
every 1 playin on diffrent servers ?
