Have just bought the above to help while away my retirement and as a means of keeping the grand-children amused on their visits to the Old Fart.
Very impressed with the kit and software, but the instructions were diabolical.
It has 2 focus points X20 and X400, with nothing in between. The 20x has enabled me to identify some silver markings on an old brooch (Swedish by CG Hallberg 1907)and the g'kids have been looking at all sorts of things found in the garden at 400x.
Here are a few examples: Fly's wing: Back of me 'ed: Full stop on a printed card.

The s'ware has a measuring tool. Did you know a printed full stop is 11.5 microns wide? Not many people know that.
Please note that most of the hairs are grey and that no flies were harmed during the making of these images. I'd killed it a few minutes before.
Not sure if this helps with the adjustable zoom?
Taken from Amazon:
Although I was happy with the general performance of the device, I could find no reference in the instructions as to the claimed 400x adjustable magnification. I twice contacted the support site with no response, but eventually after checking the Amazon reviews, I had an answer! Set the preview screen to 640x480 and then adjust the zoom in the preferences option. Thank you R.D. Day and Amazon! The relevant review was for the deluxe version which is why I am repeating the information here.
Nice pics Bob, looks like a fun bit of kit.
