Right guys I want to try this out again, as a aspect of us playing regularly and trying something for the LAN.
It on OA so we get all the new toys. The format is AAS like in BF2 and there are a number of maps.
This is how I see the night running. Everyone on at 8pm (if you can make it)
Give a map or 2 the run through see how it works for an 1 hour.
Then on to some more coop.
I know it hasnt been the most popular aspect of this game but we have tried it once and I would like to give a fair shot.
Hope to see you there.
I will be on from 7:30 see you there :)
Gonna miss this I'm afraid, Pub quiz tonight
So, how did it go?
It's got scope, but it felt hugely disjointed. That said I had a sulk later (and I don't mean our RAF friend) because we were disjointed in normal maps too.
We should do it again with better comms, and a more co-ordinated plan. Plus I think it needs 5 on 5 min
LAN Potential?
The comms were a big problem last night, putting people into seperate TS channels would be a big step in the right direction imo.
Good points
Map was so some much better than last time I was actauly impressed.
AAS worked well where we had to go and who held what etc.
Lots of laughs where heard on TS
Need seprate channels or a more conserted effort to use the mix of TS and in game coms
Bad Points
It felt like a grown up BF2 (one person comment)
Some of the map items not that clear.
Maybe to big a map.
Overall I think we will have to play more to get the most out of it, but I am not sure that there is a huge want for it from the community.
COOP seems to be the most popular.
Would like to see some more views if possible there where 9 of us playing :)
I recon this could work given some tweaking.
As has already been said, we need to be a bit more organised, set comms channels would be a good idea seeing as not everyone seemed able to use in game comms.
Also it might havea better flow to it if one team was set and attackers and the other as defence. Ideally with the map setup to give the defenders all but one point and being unable to reclaim those lost.
