Title: Shutter Island

What a superb film. Gloriously dark and at times disturbing. Leo DiCaprio is going from strength to strength in my opinion.

Adapted from a well respected book it's the tale of a mental 'institution' which is somewhat reminiscent of Arkham Asylum. I can't give the plot away other than to say it's a US Marshall investigating a disappearance on the island and uncovering a lot more than he bargained for.

Great movie, well worth watching.

Just a quick one to anyone who's seen it...
How did you interpret the ending....
1. He was a looney tune
2. He has broken the cycle of the delusions, but knows he can't live with the memories and thoughts around it so pretends to be a Marshall to live a life of peaceful ignorance.....or
3. And my favourite..he is a marshall, he knows he's not getting off the island, he isn't a fruitloop but can't live with the thought that he will be incarcerated forever. Going back to the piece about one you are declared mad, it doesn't matter what you do..
I really enjoyed this one also. Saw it in a cinema 300 meters away from my house (didn't knew at first that there was one there lol).

I think it was alright too. It was a little "deep" at the end, I am not sure what to think. It might be any or the other Benny said :) I think thats the beauty of an ending like that, we can all make our own thoughts. Maybe there isnt any correct answer.
