Title: Meatlocker update
Post by: Liberator on October 06, 2010, 10:13:24 AM
Can someone run an update on the L4D1 Meatlocker server, it looks like it's not set to update on restart and so last nights DLC is not downloading.

Looks like another update tonight.

Any chance of another update, kicking it is still just a restart operation.

I've ran the update script and restarted it.  I've also added the auto update line to the startup to bring it in line with the L4D2 servers.

Something still not right here, our server version is still 1.0.1.8 and has none of the new content.

A quick look through HLSW shows that current server version is 1.0.2.1.

Something is broken somewhere.

I've ran the update again and it ran through a load of updates but now the server refuses to start and I can't get any error messages from it.
I hate the vanilla L4D, I don't think I've seen a clean update yet (do we really still need it?)!

EDIT:  I give up for now...  I'll have another go later.

Ditto. I've been struggling these last two days to get the LAN server fully patched. In the end I decided on clean installs all round for CSS, L4D and L4D2. Somewhere along the line the 'orangebox' folder got injected in the path of CSS so rather than try and edit any shortcuts/configs I bit the bullet and reinstalled the lot. All appears to be working but we all know how flakey this tends to be at the LAN.

Meatlocker is back up and running but all addons have been disabled as that was the cause of the crash.  Before I spend a lot of time looking for updates etc are any of them still needed?

What addons are you refering to Whitey? Are they just extra maps? If so they can be left off.

I'm guessing SourceMod.

Although I can see that all the non-standard maps have gone as well.

Sourcemod, Metamod source and any plugins that made use of them are disabled.
