Anyone have a combined e-mail/news client that supports the following.
1- miltiple pop3 accounts.
2- Hotmail e-mail account.
3- Multiple news servers.
4- Built in yENC support for newsgroups. (cant be without the alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.bestiality.hamster.duct-tape group.)
Free would be nice, but it's not essential. Just after somethin to replace Outlook/Outlook express.
I'm not sure what you wants exists as one application :(
I was under the impression that Microsoft have decided that only Outlook/Express can connect to Hotail and collect mail. So that's nice of them eh !
There is a third party application that will convert downloaded yenc attchments to images etc. It's a bit long winded to work this way though (not being able to see the image within Outlook) but you can find it HERE (http://www.yenc.org/windows.htm)
Yenc enabled newsreaders don't do e-mail as far as I am aware so you'll have to use one application for mail and one for news.
A list of Yenc enabled readers can be found HERE (http://www.yenc.org/windows.htm)

Dunno. :D Check the latest version. I just know that a friend of mine uses it and is very happy with it. :)
I use OE for news and Grabit for yenc. Works or me and is all free.
Mail and news don't mix. End of.
Gravity for news. Mozilla or Eudora for mail. OE for cleaning up dog poo.

c'mon Doggers get off the fence :)
I'm suprised OE can even do that. I find it refuses to accept most kinds of dog poo, and the little it will pick up has a tendancy to escape and get all over your hands.
Mozilla now do a very natty standalone little e-mail program called Thunderbird.
How about Opera im pretty sure it can do all that.

Yes indeed they do and I use this. It learns about junkmail and is highly configurable to use multiple accounts etc. Not tried reading newsgroups with it so don't know what its like for that.
Found a cheap email provider that lets through no junk mail anything u dont want etc at //www.xmsg.com and gives u plenty of space, and my oprah can connect to it dam i hate IE. grrrrrrrr
