QuoteHere's something to compare to:
            CoD:WW Minimum Requirements:

  • CPU: AMD 64 3200+/Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz +
  • Memory: 512MB (XP) / 1GB (VISTA)
  • HD Space: 8 Gigabyte
  • Gfx Card: 256MB Nvidia 6600GT/ATI Radeon 1600XT or higher (Shader        3.0 or better)
        CoD4 Required (min) Specs:

  •       CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 2.4 GHz or AMD(R) Athlon(TM) 64 2800+  processor or any 1.8Ghz Dual Core Processor or better supported
  •       RAM: 512MB RAM (768MB for Windows Vista)
  •       Harddrive: 8GB of free hard drive space
  •       Video card (generic): NVIDIA(R) Geforce(TM) 6600 or better or ATI(R) Radeon(R) 9800Pro or better
Interestingly, the Black Ops specs are a bit more onerous than BFBC2:
Minimum Frostbite PC Specifications for BFBC2 & BF1943
   Processor: Core 2 Duo @ 2.0GHz
   Main memory: 2GB
Graphics card: GeForce 7800 GT  / ATI X1900
   Graphics memory: 256MB
   OS: Windows XP
Clearly it appears that CoD has final made it into the multi-CPU  category and the 8600GT does make sense as well. Thankfully, I just  upgraded my nVidia 8800 to a 280 last weekend after my card fried, so  I'm still to the right of these min specs.
You might want to consider upgrading too, now that these are official.
Also, I don't see anyone making a fuss over the 12 GB requirements. I  guess I'm an old timer and numbers like that still frighten me...
