Title: The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
Post by: MAD_ness on October 19, 2003, 11:05:36 PM
Expected lots from this one after seeing all the trailors before release, but unfortunately didn't live up to its hype imho ......

not enough action, boring bits were far too long winded ....the effects were good but nowhere near as good as underworld or pirates of the carribean.

Don't wanna give too much away in case ya'll wanna see it .........but if ya want some advice wait for its release on dvd/video .........'cos a classic it aint !!!!

No it is not a comedy and yes it is crap. A total waste of money. Both from yourself for renting/buying it and the producers who got the funds for it. I bet they could have helped 3 million starving people with that money and they would be very grateful and so would we.

If you absolutely want to throw 2 hours of you life down the drain I suggest you watch paint dry on the wall rather than watching this p.o.s.  <_<

I actually rather enjoyed it. Yes I agree its not the best piece of filmaking in the world but as an nobrain action film its rather fun

If you have read the comics it was based on you would be offended.

I heard mixed reviews, but it passed some of the time of the flight to LA.

A popcorn shoveller, no way an epic but it was watchable.

It was as bad as Sadako said, in fact it was worse. If you go round a mates house and they've rented the DVD, then I guess you could do worse things with your time (but not many). The only saving grace for me was that Mina Harker was a bit of a babe. Other than that it was baiscally poo.

I have and as usual the script writters have made no attempt to stick to them but lifted the basic idea and hollywoodised it!
I still think they did a piss poor job of it.  :(
