Anyone interested?
Sounds like a bunch of fun, but doesn't fit my free time.
I'm prepared to give it a crack if we can get a team together. The only bugbear is "All races will be held on SUNDAYS, always between 16:00 and 22:00 (GMT)."
Mind you looking at the qualifying times (1.07's) I dont think I'll bother
Sounds good to me. I'm in.

You are matched with racers with a similar quali time.

In that case we are likely to be up against 'sand-baggers' and to be honest I enjoy the variable driving talents we see on Deadmen.
IMO racing elsewhere would only weaken our own servers attractiveness.
I'm interested and would like to have a go.
The races are not every week, so that doesn't seem so bad.

Oi! I resemble that implication!
That's the trouble , we don't see you often enough :narnar:
Myself and BobtheBike have started the season. The result for the first race is up on the OLFSL site, showing me with a win in pool 5 :yahoo:
The race started with me on pole, BobtheBike in 13th (unlucky number?) There was an incident at turn 1, then again at turn 2 where some numpty went on a crashfest and ruined a number of cars, including Bobs. Shortly after that, Bob suffered a disconnection  unlucky Bob.
I was also tapped on lap 1 in the hairpin, minimal damage, but then hit the wall at the top of the hill damaging my front left wheel. I suffered the whole race for that as that wheel does a lot of work around South City Town. I managed to regain my 1st place on the next lap and held on for the remaing 27 laps. My challenger [AD] Tom coming close a few times.
Congratulations Dee, excellent race. :thumbsupsmileyanim:As you know, Ben & I watched via remote viewer and I'm going to spend tomorrow a.m watching the replay, because it looked pretty close at times.
Well done :thumb: I watched the last ten mins and kept telling myself to shut up talking on ts so you could concentrate.
Bad luck Bob on the disco.
"some numpty went on a crashfest and ruined a number of cars"
He's been banned from OLFS for life .:)
Strange that some people have to get there kicks by messing up other peoples fun
Wakey
Heya Wakey, nice to see you over here on our forums :thumb:

Wakey
His 'official' LFS name is dr1ftmast3r and as far as I can see he's never been on our server. Lets keep it that way and extend that ban to include dMr.
I surprised myself and actually ended up watching the whole race, it looked great fun Dee - I'm particularly glad that your car seemed to be equally attracted to that particular lefthand wall that I was hitting so much last night! Lap 21 saw a lot of action, great split of the lapped car on the hairpin!
Must go find me a dMr skin.........../goes off to hack Dee's PC and pinch his skin
Thanks for the comments, and apologies for lack of updates.
A few days ago was round 4, the MRT at South City Classic. I was glad we had the MRT that week for our dMr weekly 1 hour race so I had lots of practice . Enough to see me qualify in pool 2. I started 4th, lost a few places in the beginning, then had great fun fighting my way back up what was an action packed race, with the leading 3 taking themselves out! I eventually finished with a podium 2nd

Overall standings I'm 18th/122 racers. :D
Fantastic effort. I thought you were going to make first place as you were closing on the top spot at a great rate of knots. You did dMw proud.
Congrats Dee
What Lameduck said, even in 1980s top down graphics with no sound it was great to watch :thumb:
A big 'well done' to Dee for another epic race on OLFS last night, starting 12th and finishing 4th (by a tenth of a sec) and setting the 2nd fastest lap.
The boy done good :D
Yay! Thanks for the support. And thanks Lameduck who was on Teamspeak letting me know what cars in front that hadn't pitted, and the ones I was racing for position.
Replay here (http://www.lfs-league.com/mpr/pool3_race1.mpr)
I was pushing for 2nd but hit the wall in the last but one lap, then just couldn't hold sccc:mauni off, to finish 4th.
My current standing: 18th
dMr current standing: 12th (out of 46!)
Nice one :thumb:
Great job matey :)
