Hi Folks,

There is a strong LFS community here at DMW.

I need some input on a 10 lap race compettition for the LAN and could use your advice / comments.

For everyone else, I want to know if you would consider downloading the demo version to give it a whirl at the LAN. It's a great racing sim. Arguably one of the best.

Please cast your vote so we can manage numbers.

For the DMR folks, guidance on a 10 lap race, track / car for beginner / intermediate racers would be appreciated!

Thanks!!

I'm afraid the Demo has limitations.
You have one road track, one RallyX circuit and the choice of 3 cars, the single seat FBM, the rear wheel drive XRG and the front wheel drive XFG. Both tracks are reversible. Similar lap times are obtainable with both the saloon cars, so I'd recommend that you give people the choice of an under-steering FWD and a tail-happy RWD.
The single seater is great fun to drive and goes where you point it (roughly) but the sequential gearbox takes some getting used to.
Racing on the RallyX course is a hoot, but a fair amount of practice is required to master the varying surfaces with just one set-up.
P***ed off that I wont be able to join in, but will watch the race on the LFS remote viewer if I can. Enjoy.:D

The demo would be fine for that, ten laps will be about 17-18 mins long.

I wasn't talking about my car!  It was my chair, honest.
