Good video. If anyone competent with computers had got hold of it then it would have been formatted the next day and no trace would have been seen. My sercurity is probably quite lax due to certificates for SSH etc, but secure enough to keep undetermined people out. I think that's the key. If they've no reason to suspect your computer is any more interesting to break into they won't waste time. Having his backups in the same room as his originals is pretty poor. Electrical surge, fire, flood etc would have wiped it out too.

If it was me I would've bought myself a new PC on the guy's credit card and then made his life a misery.

While the video was very funny I wonder if it was such a good idea to tear Guzman to bits so publically. He looks like a very nasty piece of work. It didn't take me more than a  few minutes to find out that the hacker is Dr. Andrew Brooks from MiT. While he may be in a cell at the moment I wonder how clever it was to ridicule the thief all over the Internet? It doesn't look like he has much of a sense of humour.
