I know it can run on Windows, but can I run it on my Linux box using WINE?  Oh, it's actually worth using the 32-bit drivers for this not the 64-bit, it's less cork to pick out of your glass.

I think you'll find that upgrading to USB 3.0 overcomes the cork problem and gives enhanced flow capabilities.
