How are we feelibg about it.  In its guies as it is I have to admit I am not enjoying it.

The respawning the run and gun.  And the public playing as opfor.  

Domination is great fun ok my leading tonight wasn't the best.  But had some pubs on that really joined in with coms and orders.

I blow hot and cold. It isn't controlled as well as the others, but that's the lack of respawn. It is tremendous playing as opfor, would be tempted to change it so that you lock the server and have one or two opfor guys and less enemy.

My view on the state of our insurgency playing is i dont think we have control of team play at the moment, yes we have comms and 4 man squads but people cannot follow orders through one voice channel with 3 squads assaulting as thats a lot of leader work being relayed to a lot of people.
The re spawning suffers due to it being set to side and not team in the config file as if the teams new they where going back to MHQ when they where all shot rather than spawn at next available team they might take a little more care,this happens regular as 4 man squads quickly become over sized real quick when the bullets start flying adding to confusion of newer players,it would be a little embarrassing if the team got a punishment for all being back at mhq more than a set amount?
The OPFOR option needs disabling until its all DMW crew on server and then a separate TSPK server should be available for opfor use.
Theres a quick admin feature for setting radius of base protection i think this should be increased to 1 k.
I also think that if were going to play insurgency effectively your place in a 4 man team should be something thats earned, based on ability to follow orders,team play and battlefield ability, im not saying hey give someone a stripe he's great put him in the a team just teams based from a to d would encourage good game play.
Im not having a whinge [much] but feedback from other players seems thin on the ground in the arma forum and not from lack of players enjoying the servers!

I think this game plays better when we have numbers. And as Mr Logik says we need to be working harder as a team. On the occasions when I've been on with a handful of other players we quickly get overwhelmed. However if I'm honest I guess that whenever I'm playing Insurgency I'd really rather be playing Domination.

Ive said my bit glad you agree Smilodon im free on a friday night and am more than willing to do some insurgency with teams, we will need an admin of course and if its ok with DMW leaders could i form my own team, anyone else wanna join charlie team?

Thanks for your feed back guys.  

So we need to make changes to the maps, I will ask those that can to have a look and will suggest some changes.  I dont see use setting up a 2nd TS server just for OPFOR I can whip up another channel if the time comes.

In regards to the "Charlie Team" request, I can see why because it is eaiser to command less people, but I think if we go down this path then people will be left out and it will reduce the amount of time new players will have with the more experienced ones.  

Overall I see this as maybe something to move in to once we have exhausted domination as there is soo much more to do on that.   And actually own the island ourselves.

Insurgency suffers, in my opinion, from not having any specific objectives to complete.

It's basically just "get in a Humvee, drive around and shoot people" and because of that lack of focus, it gets very difficult to organise.

I'd enjoy it alot more if there was, like in Domination, something you had to capture/destroy in a map square that disables the ENDLESS ENEMY RESPAWNS (another thing I dislike enormously).

That's just my opinion. With some changes it would be much better, but why bother going to all that effort when we can just play Domination?
