Being woken at 4:30am is annoying enough, being woken by the Police telling you that they've found your car abandoned 3 miles away with a broken ignition and missing bumper is pretty damn annoying!
I'm impressed they got away with it actually, most people have no idea what a manual choke is, let alone how to use one. My guess is they only got 3 miles away because they flooded the engine.
Not exactly ideal considering I'm currently doing my finals and the workload has upped tremendously!
Just a little rant guys. Oh and the moral of the story... Joy riders are retards and if I find out who it is, my revenge will be served very cold. I'm thinking of a tag line 'joy ride this!' and inserting a bottle of Tabasco where is definitely doesn't belong.
Well, RIP Nessy the 1989 1.1l mk3 popular plus fiesta in gold.

Well that wasn't mine but looks just like it!
Surely the moral of the story is.... always put your steering wheel lock on, not leave it on the floor in the back:narnar:
Oh, and being woken by S.wales polis @ 4.30 in the morning is far worse if you are a parent:ohmy:
Bed linen in the washing machine:sideways:

Yea all my knob head friends saying 'why the hell do you use that, who's gunna steal this piece of crap' are gunna get a slapping for bad influence!
They don't make much difference to determined thieves, and are a pain in the arse to use. My car got broken into a few years ago, they got a pretty average stereo but wrote of the car in the process by chiselling out the lock from the door. I imagine if they can do that to get in they can get a lock off a wheel (I've seen timing tests on tv there it makes as little as 5 seconds difference.
It's a shame it happened to you, but on the bright side you now have an anecdote to tell at parties. I hope the insurance fixes everything.
I know how you feel m8.
I got my trusted old Mitsubishi Colt GLXi stolen last month and cops found it 8km away, they were pretty sure the culprits were scientist, as they had tried to fuse it together with a tree.
And they stole the stereo (a old tape player o.O)
Sorry to hear that :(
If only you had 5 minutes alone with the scumbag!
Bad luck tox that really sucks mate.
little *******s....
feeling your pain, about 7 yrs ago i got out of bed early after a restless night, after a couple of hours i decided to go out with the wife, walked to the car which was no more that 20feet from the house, bleeped it open and got in......
Meet with a bundle of wires where some toe rag had tried to steel my car. Didnt notice the lack of door lock as id used the bleeper.
Rang the police and there said that in the estate i lived in (in fleet near benny) had 3 attempts on 3 diferant sri vectras that night obviously to order
what really fecked me off that was with all the damage they caused £2500 they didnt even attempt to take the £500 kenwood system in it
bankers:ranting2:
car was never the sdame after that always having immobiliser issues so i had to sell it at a loss......
Unlucky Tox :(
My girlfriend is convinced that nobody has even attempted to steal her 1998 Nissan Micra because she's put flower stickers all over it. One to try in the future perhaps? ;)

Oh yes, very dashing. Almost as suave as the Dodge Malibu I drove around Canada in with a Charlie's Angels sticker on the rear bumper...
I sometimes forget how classly you are Tut
I think the Charade is boombastic.

Was it like that before they took it? You should be more careful reversing.

Yea, I took a tip out of my neighbours book and started reversing without turning to look back, whilst using only my mirrors to spot a 10 year old boy waving me back.
ouch sorry to hear that matey, had things nicked from cars in the past when lived in big towns....
Now I live out in the stick's of Scotland have never locked the car and left wallet, phone etc on passenger seat...
worst thing that has happened in last two years was neighbour woke me up one night to tell me my windows where down and it looks like rain :s went out to find phone, wallet and ipod sat on passenger seat :D
if they catch em make sure you can get a few mins of "alone time" with em ;)
my friend's mini has never been stolen, despite being often left with the windows open and the stereo playing.
Probably something to do with the hand rollered Dulux blue paint job, with hand drawn/aerosoled flowers all over it. :)
I find a big sticker saying "Protected by Hard B*stard Security" also helps...
