Hey all, just to let you know, my computer is being repaird atm so that's why I haven't been online lately.
Last Friday I was playing the Beta of Tactical Intervention and had to do a restart, after that my screen didn't display anything. Tryed several reboots and no luck at all.
It wasn't my monitor as I've tested the Shuttle also on my TV.
I didn't get any beeping sounds at all.
After that I've dusted out my entire Shuttle and reseated almost everything.
Maybe anyone here has an idea?
Compspecs;
Shuttle SD37P2,
BFG 8800 GTS OC2
Intel Core 2 Duo E6400
Corsair 2x 1024 - 5400 C4Pro
Windows XP.
I'd have thought graphics card has died. (I would have thought at first it needed reseating, but if you've already tried that...). I'd do the usual checks, are status lights on the mobo coming on to show it has power etc swap out any components any compatible ones you have to see if it'll boot with thoe to rule out components one at a time etc.
Thanks for the reply T-Bag. BTW, swapping any components doesn't really work for my PC as it's a Shuttle.
The guy in the shop finally found out what is was, it was the powersupply so I'm getting a new one installed.
Hopefully tomorrow the PC is ready again.
Also some motherboard issues so I still don't have it back yet.
Have fun tonight with Black Ops!
Hopefully my computer will be fixed before next week as I'm off then for a short week in Italy.
Right, the Shuttle is still in the shop and the guy can't find a motherboard for it (I now have a; FD37 s5065 v1.2A).
He suggested to me that I might have to get another barebone which I did some research on but now he told me that it might not work with the bus speed. As I'm a complete n0Ob on that area I'd thought I'd ask you guys.
Shuttle SD37P2,

Corsair 2x 1024 - 5400 C4Pro

And I was looking at the SG41J4 or the SG41J1V2. He told me the SG41J4 might work but he wasn't sure about the busspeed. I did tell him though that with the XPC Tools you can change alot of settings.
Greetings Pete, a.k.a. DuVeL a.k.a. 1 month of Cold Turkey with gaming...
hope it will be fixed soon for ya.
Any luck with my old q6600?
It hasn't arrived yet Suicidal. Might need to make a phonecall to the Postoffice...
ATM I've been posting also on the Sudhian forums from SFF's and I've mailed the Shuttle customersupport. I hope to get a decend reply about what to do...
Some good news;
Dear Shuttle customer,
we still have some spare mainboards on stock,
the part-number is: WHOT-FD372
Your reseller can order such part from us.
Best Regards
Shuttle Support Team
This is the big downside to using Shuttle systems - your locked into using certain motherboards.
Have you considered moving to an mATX case? It would only be slightly larger, and could save you alot of pain in the future.
I have mate but I'm currently unemployed so I can't afford a new computer.
Today I've orderd the new MB though and it seems they only had it in Germany.
Ahwell, atleast I know I'm getting an MB deliverd to my house so the guy from the shop can get it asap.
Hope to shoot you all soon.
The computer is finally back working on Windows 7 now.
Still a question though guys, Steam is on my D-drive and I can't get it to work atm. What is the best way to use it again?
I've deleted the BLOBfile and such but it's giving errors and not starting up. Do I need to reinstall it or not?
if it's a new OS install, it sounds like it may need re-installing, but there might be ways around it?
You could reinstall the steam client itself (small install) then copy the game folders across into the new install?

What she said!
reinstall it into the same folder, no need to copy folders etc.
