Instant on, all day batteries, thin etc etc. Are notebooks finally going to be portable again? I think I still come down on the side of a transformer tablet, but it's nice to know there are plenty of options on the horizon.

I'm liking these a lot. A definite alternative to a tablet. However I already have the excellent Samsung N110 running Ubuntu 11.04. I almost completely live inside Chrome only coming out to hit Libre Office for docs (Google Docs is still a dreadful mess for anything other than very simple stuff.) So I almost have a Chromebook already, if somewhat under powered compared to the new specs.
However if the price is right I might be tempted.
