I was confronted late saturday night by JB saying "So i hear that you have posted in the secret area that im a fkin cheat. I dont fkin cheat" i am not going into the full conversation.
I am not concerned with JB's feelings for me as i really dont care, what i do care about is the fact it came from an Admin as it came from an admin area.
I am trying to understand why someone would go and tell JB that "Smite" posted that he was a cheat... i have never been quiet about the fact we dont exactly get along and that he is somewhat dodgy but to actually name ME was some what annoying coming from an admin i expected more.
To my knowledge i get along with all of the admins so if i have pissed someone off please PM me and let me know. Like i said i dont care what JB thinks of me but i thought that i got along with all of the admins.
I'm appalled by what you've told us Smite and I take this very seriously.
As I see it there are only two probable explanations:
1. JB has access (guessed perhaps) to an admin's forum login.
2. An admin has told him of the content here.
This means that either JB is dishonest or we have one admin too many.
Either way I will be PM'ing JB and asking him for his source of information.
However, before I do that I'd like all the admins to ponder on how this has happened and come up with other possibilities - does JB have access to an admin's PC? Also, when you next access these forums please check the date/time of you last visit and make sure it ties up with your last known access.
This stinks.
Does anyone know anything about this? Conversations overheard etc?

A thought though. Who was next to JB at the Chinese as much drink was flowing and someone could have slipped up while they were pickled.
It was a silly thing to do and being an admin does mean access to confidential stuff that shouldn't be said.
A thought, does he work with an admin? If so, maybe he used a public comp that was logged on and not logged off? Thinking about it, I think that it's either that or he guessed a login password as I searched the forum and that post of yours Smite was a year ago and I'd forgotten all about that until mentioned above.
I don't know anything about this and I haven't been approached by JB regarding this. I remember though that he made a comment the other week when he was on about not having got the dMw private forum access. He said something along the lines "do you have to remove the posts about me being a cheat before you let me in". I think it was intended as a joke though, but now I see it in another light.
To comment the other theories I think we should consider another possibility. JB just tried a cheap shot at you Smite. As you said it is no secret that you and JB don't get along. He could have just taken a guess that there was a forum topic about him in the admins sections. Still if he got the info from here I am also a bit worried. It is interesting that he knew that you started the post about him.
I don't think JB has forum access from my computer. ;)

as for this ....JB has used my pc and occasionaly has come around my house as a friend of a friend (vincent vega)
this has put me in a difficult spot as i am up for suspect #1.....but as far as i am aware he has not been around since i gained the admin role. Vincent has but i doubt this would be the case and would not be happy with the party involved
If in anyway i was belived to have leaked any info. i would be happy to step down as i would not like my connection to other people be a cause for concern

Sadako it is quite possible that he like you said tried it on....but to me he seemed very specific in what he was saying. I personally do hope that it was just that a guess as that would be better than the other possibility.
JAS he hasnt been around your house for some time and he isnt really stupid enough to go through your pc whilst you are not there.

I think it was likley that someone let something slip. However twas not me, I find the guy a little two swarmy for my liking, plus yes all his headshots piss me off too much to like him :unsure:
Don't worry smite, its no secret I'm not too fond of the chap but I do however get along with all at the LAN, on that note however he knew I wish he'd not bring it up at such a time.
I think I was the only admin at the club.... but I'd not spoken to him too much while there for the reasons above. I'm thinking check out his account on her to check for levels of access and also change the admin password.
The only other way to see posts is to trawl through the sql database on blackadder. I'll check the accessibility of it, however it should be restricted to the local machine only.
/me hangs head in shame :oops: . I accept any punishment I get, I am sorry Smite. I didn't say that you disliked him or felt he was a cheat though, I asked him outright about being banned fom a few servers for cheating. I said that may have been the reasons for not getting into dMw too quickly and I think pretty much everyone is satisfied that that he was cosha and respected him as a player. (He asked me about whether MH players generally liked him or not).
I wouldn't reveal anything we discuss in the Admin section to anyone but I was a little pissed and probably was a little to blunt about his activities before dMw with him. He did say to me that he thought Smite didn't like him much to that I said possibly. But I didn't say that anyone thought he was a cheat, if anyone did he wouldn't have gotten into the clan.
Anyway, I am sorry for bringing this upon you mate, it was not intentional I have nothing against you, I just appear to have been a bit free with words and lead him to believe things I never intended.
Such a good LAN as well, sorry to have spoiled things like this.
No worry albert, shit happens. It was just perhaps a little unfair of him to act on the info tho knowing it landed you in the poop.
Having seen him at the lan I dont *think* he cheats, although using those weird graphics that he does is not very sporting, I noticed the enemy stuck out like a sore thumb on his screen, leaving using the scenary for camoflauge a mute point.

I sent a long post to JB about the reasons why have a problem with him and what i think we need to do to resolve it.
Looks like its resolved and hes gonna try to change a few bad habits.

I suppose if it is possible for one good thing to come out of my silly big mouth antics is JB at least knows where he stands, even though it was never meant to come out. I sort of had the impression that JB felt he was constantly under scutiny on nearly every server he plays on, including MH. Probably because is regularly at the top of the score board.
So by causing Smite this headache, it might just have made JB a little more human and he might just fit in with the team spirit of TCS.
Anyway, last word on the subject from me, appologies Smite, and eveyone else for wasting your time having to respond to something like this, if won't happen again. :mellow:

Got one of those movies this morning and it was excellent. I asked him to keep them coming. If you view the demo it is no wonder he gets the amount of kills he gets. Damn accurate mouse movement if you ask me ... and this was without any opponents.
