Title: Vacation Time & Raiding
Post by: TeaLeaf on June 13, 2011, 07:56:07 AM
Here's the deal:  we all go away, but we all still want to raid when we're here.  So:

Attendance
From now until mid-September YOUR attendance to raids is going to be critical.

If we do not all do our best to push attendance up over the holiday months, we will need to over-recruit to make sure that we have enough for the raid to keep going.

Can I also add that if you accept a raid, then be there.  We have had too many occassions recently where people have signed up and not been there and not posted to say they couldn't make it.  We will start deducting DKP again for this if it continues.

I'm going to bump this as we're now well into the holiday season.

Folks, we run relatively small groups for our raids and we need people to show up, in particular for the next 3 months whilst we steer a course through the holiday season.  We need everyone to push their attendance to the max so that we have enough in each raid role to allow the raid to proceed and to succeed.

In the Boss Compendium Section there is a direct link to RGT and RGW raid attendance and I have duplicated these below:

RGW attendance (http://rgw.deadmen.co.uk/attendance.asp)
RGT attendance (http://dkp.deadmen.co.uk/attendance.asp)

Please check how we measure your attendance.

GREEN numbers means your attendance is good.
YELLOW numbers means you're starting to struggle.
RED numbers are bad and you're not turning up much.

It won't, it's not even close.  dMw has been around for 15 years, we've playing WoW for 6 years, longevity is not an issue.  The core of this guild is the community and we'll always have that to raid with, we don't have the transient members that a lot of hardcore guilds do and it's those members that cause the issues.  My comments are trying to highlight where we need our focus to be during the summer months to ensure we all continue to have our raid fun.

if Im on the bench and logging over to another char during raid, does the attendance get lower on Päls then?

As long as your main is in the raid then playing on an alt is fine and counts towards attendance.  It's only when you are not online at all and off TS that your main should be removed from the raid to stop you earning DKP and it's the DKP awards that are used to work out attendance.
