Title: 4.2 Patch
Post by: TeaLeaf on June 16, 2011, 07:36:56 AM
Things to do:

Valor Points are bieng converted to Justice points up to the 4,000 cap and T11 gear will be purchasable with Justice Points after the 4.2 patch, so check your headroom and spend some points to make sure the conversion is not lost.

Legendary Caster Staff
http://db.mmo-champion.com/i/71086/dragonwrath-tarecgosas-rest/
QuoteDragonwrath is designed to be DOT-friendly. Simply put, it has a chance to copy each tick of a DOT spell. There is no internal cooldown, since we want it to be good for warlocks and Shadow priests.

Furthermore, the proc chance is adjusted favorably for pet specs that derive a significant portion of their DPS from pets.

Our goal is to tune Dragonwrath in such a way that you can give it to any caster without anticipating certain classes or specs getting a bigger benefit than others
Oh yeah......go-go-gadget shadow priests!

Avengers of Hyjal rewards are not set too.  As rep rises loot becomes purchasable from the QM.  Friendly allows yout o buy a 250 g i378 cloak, Honored a 300g i378 Belt, Revered a 400g i378 Trinket and at Exhalted 500g will get you an i391 ring.  List is here (http://www.mmo-champion.com/content/).

Don't stand in fire!
Well how the hell would a druid know anyway?  Colour this 'effect' from 'Fandral's Flamescythe' as one to be changed in a patch shortly after the 4.2 release as I can see it being a total nightmare for melee to have something that looks like fire permanently in the melee camp! :roflmao:

The end of PVP season 9 has been postponed for 1 week (http://us.battle.net/wow/en/blog/2880562). Guess that means we also 1 more week before patch 4.2.

Help! Please no firecats in a "firey" content. That would also beat the logic as you fight something with opposite powers and the opposite to a lot of fire would be a lot of water or even ice!
So, what we really need is a "water druid"! Kind of a liquid druid pulsating like a yelly fish through the raid and soothing the burning hot fires of our opponents.

I want that!!!!!  but it are just the looks as it seems it doesn't do any extra damage (the fire).

But the stats are sweet for a feral :-)

Too true!

I think this form will be changed fast though as it will be problematic for raiders - we're about to go into 'Firelands'. so guess what we'll be trying to avoid standing in a lot - fire of course!  So putting a fire-like animation into melee is just plain daft to me, it's designers not interfacing with raid testers. :(

Remember when Northrend was launched and all the issues we had at Sartharion+3 with DKs?  Sartharion had Shadow Fissure (which killed a ton of melee) and it's animation was precisely the same as the DK's DnD animation - and raids were stacked with DKs at that point due to them being so OP at launch!  It was funny but real painful losing so many melee in those tries before they changed the animation.  The same will happen with druids I'm sure (I hope!)

It seems at blizzard they were afraid that the non-druid may feel somehow neglected by this awesome new transformation. Worry not, my friends! They have new forms for everyone! (http://www.thedailyblink.com/2011/06/epic-fire-kittiez/)

A question for the officers about patch 4.2:

Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa's Rest (http://ptr.wowhead.com/item=71086), the new legendary (hunter weapon :norty:), will require Eternal Ember (http://ptr.wowhead.com/item=71141) and Seething Cinder (http://ptr.wowhead.com/item=69815). These items drop from Firelands raid bosses and are BoP, of course.

How will the Eternal Ember and Seething Cinder be distributed? DKP bids? Designated receivers?

Just read the patch notes, and they really nerfed the Shamans mana regen. Mana tide down to 200% instead of 400%, the Improved WS might be better.

Kinda strange caus it seems to me that a resto shaman gets OOM quicker then a priest, druid or paladin.
