Title: ammo box script [all ammo and replenish every 5 mins]

You know the problem someones nicked all the stingers and javelins,what no sniper mags? Heres a solution a full ammo box that replenishes itself every 5 minutes to save calling in air drops, it'l need the script adding to the missions but hey if the editors open it would make sense one would think? http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=11174 (http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=11174)

I can probably do this relatively easily if there's demand for it....personally I'm easy, it feels a bit like 'god' mode in the old Doom days, infinite ammo, infinite lives, no clip etc. What's everyone else's take?

Hmm, can you apply it to our packs so we never run out of anything and can have all the weapons at the same time? :)

I quite like having a limited supply of ammo.

I'd like to see more BAF & PMC equipment boxes though, if at all possible.

I can put whatever you want in the ammo boxes, just ask....That's 20 Mk17 EGLM's then.

I think this would make the game to easy.  Especially if we play dom or insurgancey, just sit up with a ammo box and blast away.  So nice idea but not sure we want that kind of unrealism in this sim.  Do we??

I've found we occasionally suffer with too few anti armour rounds and end up getting slaughtered as a result. We've played maps with ammo boxes that seems full of choices and it never really hurt us. And we've played map's where we've run out of MAAW's rounds and ended up running away from armour with no way to kill it. If a map becomes unbalanced through too little ammo then maybe we could change the ammo box to be more generous. But on a case by case basis rather than on all maps.

Not sure really tobi as you wouldnt man up an assault team with half the kit needed to do job and send them off you might get a cap in your ass for sending them to there doom?

Well the leader should of thought about what was needed :) and if they are dead whos going cap me ;)  I think it is more of tatical thing as bringing up tanks, trucks jeeps with extra ammo on.  Or use the MHQ if we are doing infantry only.

My personal view is ... if it's tough with what you've got ... good. It's meant to be. Yes you might fail, so you analyse the tactics, tweak, try again. Don't be afraid to admit it's not working, regroup back at a base, re-arm, try again. Much more gratifying then simply saying 'This is tough - call an artillery strike!'.

I seriously doubt it's impossible to complete a mission with the kit supplied supplemented with what you can scrounge.

We need to identify if any map has a ammo load out that doesn't fit the tasks in hand. Most of these maps are coded by gamers and it's possible they might have created a map with a few bugs etc. I'm sure in one session of Zargabad-daddy-bad-addy we ran out of anti armour rounds and were having problems with the enemy armour. It seems as wrong to keep calling in ammo parachute drops as it does to be bit more generous with the default ammo boxes. So on a case by case basis IMHO.
